I'm not , nor am I claiming to be a self-appointed representitive of the entire Ashkara fan group. So I'm only giving my very own opinion here.
Frankly speaking , I'll be happy with Ashkara union only n only when it happens by doing complete justice to the integrity and dignity and happiness of both the individual characters Ashok and Ahankara.
That completely rules out being ,let alone happy, even ok with a sympathy marriage. I'd rather Sushim patch up with Ahan and woo her and then marry her than Ashok marrying her out of sympathy !!! No woman deserves a sympathy marriage. Not even when the guy is the one you love and desire.
Ahan doesn't deserve to be some one's second choice. The way Ashok's character has been built in the show and the way Hindi histo-mytho shows follow a typical format , the main lead guy usually loves only one girl truly , other wives he may be fond of , friends with or simply have a formal relationship , but their heart is usually occupied and lost to one particular lady, like MRP to Ajabde , Akber to Jodha , Bindu to Dharma etc. etc. , chances are nearly nil that he'll be shown to love both Ahan and Karu simultaneously . I couldn't even bear the imagination that Ashok will return from Taxila and will have left his heart to Karu and deep in his heart pining for her and yet rekindle his freindship into romance with Ahan.
The second fiddle is usually shown as a vamp , a jealous insecure bitchy plotting wife as per standard format , I shudder to think that that's exactly what they'll turn Ahan into post leap if she comes between the "epic" Ashok-Karu. We all know , from how they handled Bindu's wives that this CVs lack the maturity and intuition and skills required to write a story where a king can love two women at the same time and equally, may be for different reasons.
The way the CVs are going the way of almost immediate attraction and running after this girl , they're not going to stop at friendship only when it comes to Ashok n Karu , romance is definitely on the cards.
I shudder to think Ahankara saddled into this mess. Hadn't she been in enough mess for a very long time. Why'd she go through any more ?? She shouldn't be shown as a part of a new triangle.
Both of her parents chose revenge and royal politics over the security and happiness of their daughter. Her first crush Sushim chose his virulent hatred for Ashok over and above his initial fondness for Ahan. Poor girl must be having a priority issue. Don't she deserve a man in her life for whom she's the priority ?? She's the first choice ??
I'm a Ashok fan first and foremost , but I'm a genuine fan of Ahankara the character too and my fondness for her runs deeper than my love for Ashkara. I sympathized with her and saw her strength even where other's saw weakness. I don't want any thing in my greed to see Ashkara together that compromises with what Ahan, as a woman , deseves.
Ashkara was the most complex and intricate and well written love story I've ever seen in Indian Television, yes, it is a love story even if it was one sided. They were real and mature , they way their journey was shown. It was so beautiful , a great gift to me , a huge Ashkara fan through and through. I want to cherish their story forever. And if Ashok comes back and attaches himself to Ahan just because of her feelings for him, or because Karu made him realize this and that ( when you need outside help for the realization of love, it's not true love ) or because he finds solace in Ahan or a political marriage , and with out himself spontaneously returning Ahan's feelings with same intensity and passion , I absolutely don't want them to come together and end up together. It'll be like a casual hook up for me. And it'll ruin Ashkara for good for me.
Post leap I simply couldn't care less what happens with Ashok-Karu n Ashok-Ahan, as it was Siddisha natural chemistry and matching acting capabilities and the way they played off each other and shined against each other like moon and sun , is what made it all so real an experience for me.
I'll be ok if Ahan also finds love with a new guy , who loves her only, with all his heart and I couldn't care less if Ashok falls for Karu, because I've stopped watching. This Karuvaki in the show doesn't even exist in my radar any more. She doesn't deserve my criticism or even my bashing, only my ignorance.
But I fervently hope and pray Ashkara if happens, happens for the right reason and in the right manner. Or else don't. CVs can't just throw a bone at me and expect me to start licking it.
No consolation prize please. Either all or none. Either 1 or 0. Binary system.
