CAS has picked up the pace and interest it evoked at the start. The rubber-stretched Dharma death track seems so much of the past with the latest events unfolding at full throttle. Of course there are logical flaws, quite many and quite serious. But the pace seems to make up for them these days.
There is no time to think how Dharma can parade around with a ghunghat right within the antapur and go unnoticed. No time to think why Khorasan has his men steal Agnishika's jewels and what he hopes to get out of it. No time to think how Ashoka lands on the correct map and understood that it was THE map without understanding its contents. No time to think why there was laak in the surang on the other side. And most importantly no time to think why Dharma still wishes to stay incognito. If she is worried for Ashok's safety then why stay in the first place.
All these are questions that gnaw silently but stay forgotten in the whirlwind of happenings that head to culminate in the Laakshyagriha.
So many loose ends are interestingly poised in the palace built to be burnt. Each person has his/her own agenda and thoughts and advertantly and inadvertently sabotage or aid the best laid plans and counterplans. The individual thought processes and reactions make for interesting viewing.
We have Ashok who wishes to look out for Chanakya, first for information of his father and in due course for his sense of duty to the Country. His search for his father's identity is forgotten in the mission to save Chanakya and through him Magadh. He has realised the colossal importance of Chanakya to his motherland and all his prejudices against the old man have vanished. It is this quality of Ashoka to place duty before self that catapulted him to heights.⭐️
Then Chanakya, whose loyalty to his king and country is unparalleled. His hours in captivity knowing the impending doom and unable to do anything must have been extremely agonising.
Radhagupt and Aakramak who have learnt the seriousness of the issue quite late with the former still dependent on his aacharya and seeming ready to break down any moment .
Dharma - as i said earlier i am still confused why she wishes to stay in Pataliputra. And if she has decided to then why incognito. She had once said in a recent episode that she wishes to quit the capital. What a confused soul. Her only focus seems to be that she must hide from the king and the senapati.
Charumitra who encourages Agnishika as she sees an ally in her to oust Noor.
Noor who is desperate not to lose Justin whom she has always taken for granted and has just realised his worth when she is about to lose him. 💔
Justin whose love for Noor and Siamak is so sterling and strong and unbelievably selfless. 👍🏼He is more intent on Noor's safety than his mother's plans to gain the crown for him. We just had a scene when he runs to hug Siamak. Now that seems ominous. Is the Laakshyagriha going to be the end of Justin?😭
Agnishika who is a sure prey to the plots as per info...who is going to burn in the fire she planned for others.
Helena too might lose more than she had bargained to gain. (Justin????😕) The old lady had only to know that Siamak was her grandson. She need not have made such elaborate plans. She only had to oust Sushim.😈
We have the young jodi of Sushim Ahankaara. The latter wishes to save Sushim even if it meant going against her father. If Sushim would risk to save her is uncertain though.🤔
Shubrasi and Dhrupad, it remains to be seen how the soft and gentle mother son duo handle the cruel fires.😕
Khorasan who is more intent on killing Dharma and saving his skin than taking care of the security arrangements.😡
Rajajiraj who is going to pay a heavy price for his evil.😈
Finally Bindusaar who is unbelievably ignorant of EVERYTHING.😲 And is happily overseeing his brother's wedding. Looking out for his lost love and oblivious to everything else.
The dharma askok truth revelation also stands a suspense (still ...) in the tension. And Ashoka's getting to know his dad's identity.
All the angles are interestingly poised for the week to come (like the war at Hogwarts) in the first phase of the story. It remains to be seen who the casualties are and if finally the bindu-dharma hide and seek is resolved. If well handled it would be a big boost to the second phase of the story which would probably be Ashoka's fight for the throne(???).
Looking forward to the next week eagerly.
