Hi friends.I love watching Siddharth as Ashok. He is a brilliant performer. Now coming to the script.when the competition started as to who will be the successor after bindusara in every round there were guards who would keep a check beat the drum announcing the participant entering the next level.but in the last round feeling dejected I mean when taking such an imp decision how can they be so careless🥱.no rules and no one to keep a check as to who will be the winner.😲what are ur views

I agree. It is surprising that nobody monitored the last round. And I don't understand why the finishing line should be so far away from the maze.

Well I thought The acharyas and others were keeping a watch as they could see that Ashoka was carrying the younger prince on his back. Why they did not inquire how he got hurt is questionable as he is the younger prince and the leader of the other group, may be that would have revealed the treachery of Sushim.

Interestingly, there was no watch out near the sword to see who evidently took it out. The injured student from Sushim's group is the lone witness if the CVs would care to use him.

Sometimes the CV's think the audience is budhu and they make great budhus of themselves.

Comeon, in which competition the rounds are not monitored. They showed bakwaas in that round.

Yeah in the final round, once the opponents entered the maze, there were no rules.

When I thought about it, realized that would really not make any difference to the game

Earlier the sainiks were there at every round to give info on the rules of the games/challenges. And to identify the last two finalists.

After that it did not require their presence, is because even the sainiks could favour either one of the opponent. (Sushim has done that already...)

So the game was such that defying all odds, however strong, evil, dangerous your opponent could be, the winner was the one who crossed the finishing line with the sword in hand.

In the final round, at one point Ashok lost his lakshya and chose humanity over his untimate goal. Of which Sushim took advantage. There is big lesson to be learnt here. When at war, your opponent is ruthless, plays dirty and has but one goal to destroy. What does a warrior do? Help your injured/in trouble opponent or ignore and go on with the fight/war.

And partly that is what Chanakya explained to Ashok yesterday. Nothing mattered.

We got to look at the big picture. How did Ashok become such a Great Warrior and Emperor. How did he conquer kingdom after kingdom. Was he ruthless or benevolent? What did he chose? Humanity or Destruction of his enemies? He had to forego one. Though he did have regrets later as history says.
