TOI: Helena & Justin nominated for TV Style Awards

Even as style will be celebrated in the form of Television Style Awards (a joint venture by COLORS and Balaji telefilms), we spoke to two nominees of the Television Style Awards, who have created a stir in the world of fashion with their on screen characters.

Suzanne Bernert (Helena of Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat) and Sumit Kaul (Justin of Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat) have both been nominated in the category of 'Best Costume Negative' (male/female respectively).

Honoured and happy at being nominated for this first-of-its-kind award show, a little known fact about the German actress Suzanne Bernert is that she also designs her own look. Having been associated with both Balaji (Kasauti Zindagi Kay) and COLORS (Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat), Suzanne said, 'I completely believe in the style mantra that less is more. For the award function, I will be wearing one of my own designs and am very much looking forward to it ! I am also thankful to Marinating Films. They have done a great job at arranging the show.'

Sumit Kaul, also known for his role in Haider, commented on the nomination, "I feel humbled, flattered, honoured and appreciated for my role in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat as Justin. I would also like to share my credit with Nirusha, who has successfully styled the show." Speaking about his style mantra, Sumit said, "I like to stick to basics and keep it simple. I enjoy solid colours over prints."

We are certainly looking forward to seeing these two fashionistas at Television Style Awards!
