Is it right?

Sorry guys but i have noticed in all the thread few people are addressing Bindusara as 'Bindu' & Chadragupta as 'Chandu'
They are great historical characters of Indian History. Cant we give them little respect?
Short form is okay but this kind of edited name Chandu/Bindu - it sounds very much odd!
