Welcome to my daily rants/analysis!

title: When the Past becomes present &future

A Mother's wish - Dharma says her son will be a peace loving person, he will be a true brahmin, well that is true, he was a warrior but he later became a peaceful person so her wish did come true!

Saving a Mother - Today Chanakya was literally begging Dharma to let Ashok be the heir of Magadh because otherwise his mother-magadh would be divided, and maa ko baat nahi sakte, you cant divide a mother, that would be an insult to the land!

Running from your past - an unfinished business from the past will always come back and the way you face that past is what becomes you! Dharma thinks by running from the past she will be happy, but it only hurts her, today her son wants answers and he is at an age where he can understand, mid-teens is when you start forming your morals and knowing who you are really helps in this phase!

Who will kill me? - that was the question that Ashok made, he was so sure that no one had the guts to kill him, he is right, you could hear the future in his voice, the rutba, the shaurya in his voice was clearly visible!

loyalties untouched and untainted - for the first time we see that the people of magadh have loyalty and respect towards the man who founded the empire and not towards the men in power! that soldier who disobeyed khurasan and let Chanakya enter the mahal showed the spirit of magadh, he showed that kings may change but the man who built this mighty empire is still held in the highest regards!

Chanakya vs Ashok- I doubt that ever happened in real life, but to keep the audience glued the CVs will come up with anything! well Ashok who had been arrested to be brought to Patliputra has escaped and Chanakya know how to lure him back in!

Ashok and his crew are great, they are really good at what they do! they should just tape his mouth if they want him to sit still and make sure that he doesnt fool anyone! just tying his hands doesnt do anything! haha!

Lobh aka greeed brings downfall - Ashok said that and its true, had those soldiers just done their duty or karm then they would not be in a ditch today, greed trumps your mind, and your subconscious that tells you too not be greedy!

Mother will do anythign to save her son - Dharma has come alll the way to patliputra thinking her son is there, i think Chanakya knew that Dharma who loves her son so much would come after her son to get him back and when Ashok escaped he wasnt upset because he made the rules in this game!

Love cant be hidden - Dharma asks for her son but when she sees her husband she cant hold back the love or tears!

Dharma - Shubhadrangi was convinced that the king had sent someone to kill her but when she hears her name that he had given her being said repeatedly by the king, she knows that he still remembers her, and Chanakya says the same that how can a man who is saying your name in an unconscious state can actually send someone to kill you?

helen vs Chanakya - this scene really shows who has the power in the kingdom, its a teacher! In the old chanakya show, Chanakya had told acharya or teachers that teachers are never helplessless, they are not weak, they have the capability to change minds, they are the creators of leaders, they destroy bad in minds thru students, thru their words/teachings! Chanakya is the best example of that! he was a mere teacher that took bharat by storm, he kicked out the greeks, the old king of magadh!

I swear Ashoka is always running from soldiers! his arrival at the mahal prompts that - he is being chased again! nothing new there, but the kid has speed and tact!

its funny how Chanakya hears the commotion in the mahal and tells Dharma he is here! CHanakya knows that where ever Ashok goes, he brings chaos!
its foreshadowing too, because Ashok was ruthless and where ever he went to fight, he brought mayhem, and we see that happening even when he is a child!

The past is back- Dharma who had unfinished business with the past is living in the past as the present, and for that to happen properly the king has to wake up! he is the weakest link here that connects Dharma to the mahal and to the throne!

Ashok is being shown as the one caught in a web of conspircies which will now make him adapt and become the ruthless kid and man that he will become, people adapt or die,its quite simple, die is not literal its figurative, like that person would be lost somewhere or would be living in isolation because they cant adapt, Ashok adapted unlike his mother who lived in isolation all these years! His mother will never be able to adapt but ashok is a child and a child is like clay you can mould him how ever you want or the clay will be moulded by fate!

precap- ashok accused of shooting the king!

Today was good, but Im not liking how they are twisting history, but then again this is contiloe, oh yes did anyone watch the old chanakya yet?

Another post from you! A welcomed treat I must confess to that! Well today's episode was highly dramatized and that left a really bad taste in the mouth. But nonetheless the episode had its moments for me!

The most hard hitting aspect of it were two powerful conjectures. On had hand we had the massive underplay of power between Helen and Chankya! The underlying fury only hinted at the fact that both the players were determined to have their intentions seeing the daylight. One had selfish motives while the other was shrouded in interest of the nation.

The other brilliant stroke was Asoka. The young boy who was but a carefree happy lad will now undergo a sea change, becoming the ruthless and the most able general that Magadha had ever seen; only to rise as one of the greatest Emperors on earth. The entire chase and the mayhem in the palace was a strong indicative of the fact that destruction follows this lion who at the moment is beginning to roar his highest!

Apart from these two, the entire episode was nothing but blah! That Dharma-Bindusara angle makes me want to hit my head on wall. Bindusara was an indifferent man. He never cared for any of his wives let alone children. And they are playing out an extensive love story of his. Contiloe had the most pathetic set of researchers and writers ever!
