If you have watched the serial from the beginning, Hemlata always considered her daughter to be superior to Nivi. Like any other mother she wanted her daughter to have the best. When Nivi got it, be it Sid or even Viren now, she cannot stand it. She loves her daughter and wants her daughter to be the darling of all and have all the attention. But in fact Nivi is the darling because of who she is, that is what she cannot stand. Not even in her dreams she thought Nivi would get married to a rich guy and who would love her insipteofall odds, be it Sid or Viren. She knows Sid does not love Divya, she is just a responsibility and that he has not forgotten Nivi.

I think she is just a miserable woman who can't see anything good happening to others. For eg. She is not happy that ratap has reconciled with his ageing mother and elder brother.

Nivi's goodness makes her win hearts without really trying and HL cant bear that. Also, she knows she was instrumental in separating Sid-Nivi and it is natural to hate those we injure.

Actually...HL is a kind of person......whose world starts wid her n her family n ends wid her n her family..she is a very insecure person.....2 overcome dis feeling of insecurity .....she can do anything 4 her family ..n den she does not consider whether itz wrong or r8 ....n itz very unfortunate dat she always chooses d wrong way.....
