With the new season getting underway tomorrow, here is a brief look at the resumes of the contestants
Action and adrenaline lovers, here's the wake up call. Yes, the seventh season of Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi is here and 13 contestants are gearing up for two months of death-defying stunts in the wondrous landscapes of Argentina. The show will be hosted by Arjun Kapoor. Here's a lowdown on the participants this year...
Sidharth Shukla, TV and film actor
Regarded as one of the hottest men on TV, Sidharth Shukla has been working on shows since 2008. However, it was his role of Shiv in Balika Vadhu that sent women in a frenzy. He took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and went onto to bag Karan Johar's production Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. He was last seen on India's Got Talent as an anchor. He is one of the most popular amongst India's soap stars.
USP: Sidharth is very passionate about fitness and has a great body. He is extremely popular amongst women. The actor confessed to us that he has been indulging in dare-devilry since his teenage days.
Tina Datta, TV actress
The petite Bengali actress has been in the TV industry since the age of five acting in Bengali shows. However, Hindi audiences know her as Icchha/Meethi from the long-running drama, Uttaran. Tina Dutta has also been part of Comedy Circus and features in this year's telly calendar.
USP: Tina's fans will be surprised to see her on the show giving her dainty image so far. So, there is the curiosity factor. Since she is not very tall we feel she might find some of the tasks tough especially where you need to tread carefully over insects, animals, electric shocks, etc.
Tanishaa Mukerji, Actress
She made her film debut in 2003 with Ssshhh...but her career in films never took off. From 2003 to 2011, she was seen in forgettable films including the disastrous Neal N Nikki. Tanishaa's career got a fresh lease of life after she took part in Bigg Boss in 2013. Her affair with Armaan Kohli roused people's curiosity and Tanishaa was all around town. This will be her second reality show on TV.
USP: Tanishaa is known for her glam factor and will undoubtedly be one of the hottest gals on the show. She is quite physically fit as well.
Faisal Khan, Dance reality show winner and actor
At 13, he won Dance India Dance Li'l Masters and won it. He also played the younger version of Maharana Pratap on Sony TV's show and bagged awards for his acting chops. Faisal Khan was the youngest and first professional dancer to win Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2015.
USP: He might be the youngest one on the show but Faisal is extremely competitive. Post Jhalak, he joined the team of KKK7 within a month, which speaks volumes about his stamina. Will Faisal wow Arjun Kapoor with his flexibility and endurance?
Raghav Juyal, Dance reality show winner, actor
Raghav is known as Crockroaxz in dance circles, the re-inventor of the Slow Motion Walk. He had auditioned for Dance India Dance but was not selected. However, the show brought him back due to public demand. He was the runners-up and since then has been involved in many dance reality shows. Raghav also acted in Sonali Cable film with Rhea Chakraborty.
USP: He is as thin as a reed with unbelievable flexibility. We are sure that will help him crawl through any trouble.
Himmanshoo A Malhotra, TV actor
This good-looking actor has done a number of shows since 2007, prominent ones being Bhagonwali, Aapki Antara, Roshni-Ek Nayee Umeed and Airlines. He was first seen in Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004. Himmanshoo is the winner of Nach Baliye 7. The actor comes from a business family and also manages his business.
USP: He is a fitness freak and is good shape. Plus, he does not have any phobias as such.
Yuvraj Walmiki, Indian hockey player
He was part of the team that won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2011 and holds the record of being the only Indian player to play in German hockey league for four years.
USP: Being a sportsman, he is extremely competitive with the fighting spirit. Plus, it would be interesting to see him with the lovely gals on the show.
Mukti Mohan, Choreographer and actor
She was part of the winning team in Zara Nachke Dikha's Masakkali Girls and has done stints in shows like Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Mukti's been seen in films like Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and Kanchi.
USP: She has some really deft moves and good stamina. This should give her an upper hand in the physically challenging tasks.
Sana Saeed, Actress
Sana is best remembered as Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. From a child artiste, she continued her journey doing serials on TV. She has participated in Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Sana was seen in Student Of The Year as well as Fugly.
USP: Sana looked very glamorous and will add the oomph quotient on the show. There is buzz that she's truly fearless and has given many a run for their money.
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, Actors
Jay is best known as the anchor of Dance India Dance while Mahhi is remembered as Nakusha from Lagi Tujhse Lagan and comedy shows. Jay has done films like Hate Story and Ek Paheli Leela.
USP: Both of them have a huge reality show experience and are popular as well.
Aishwarya Sakhuja, TV actress
The actress rose to fame as Toasty from Saas Bina Sasuraal. She was a Miss India finalist in 2006. She has done a number of serials and reality shows, the last one being Nach Baliye 7 where she took part with husband, Rohit Nag.
USP: She has been a sportswoman in her teenage years. Aishwarya is pretty adventurous and fearless. The lady fought a severe form of TB two years back to regain her health. This show could help her gain more visibility.
Vivan Bhatena,
A Mr. India title holder, Vivan is best remembered as Sagarika Ghatge's boyfriend in the 2007 blockbuster, Chak De! India. He was last seen in Hero and has done a number of serials as well.
USP: Vivan is quite hot and can give Sidharth Shukla a run for his money in the looks department. His washboard abs will be on full display on the show.
Parvathy Omanakuttan, model turned actress
She is a former Miss India and was a runners-up in the Miss World contest. A popular model, Parvathy has done films down South. Her upcoming flick is Nambiar.
USP: This leggy lass is ravishing and should add the hotness quotient on the show.
