Finally done with the update posting now. And starting the next one today itself.
It was still raining when Adhiraaj woke up in his bedroom one morning. His injury was still healing and much to his annoyance was asked to stay in bed for a couple of weeks. Mahdulekha was taking the help of her brother Agnivesh running the kingdom during the absence of her husband Adhiraaj. It was upto her to see that things were running smoothly and she was learning a lot of things as well. Agnivesh was always by her side as she was glad as there was much to do. When Adhiraaj got down from bed his head was spinning and Anwesha was in the room keeping an eye on her daughter and neice who were playing quietly when she saw Adhiraaj loose balance she shouted for Madhulekha who dropped whatever she was doing and ran to her husband as fast as she could. Adhiraaj had a a high temperature and she put a wet cloth on his forehead she gently pushed him into bed and sat besides him. He was burning so took care of him refusing to leave his bedside even for a minute. Within a few hours his temperature came down and when the vaid came and saw him he told Mahdhulekha that the maharaj will be on his feet in a matter of days and Madhulekha could not wait for that day to come. She could not bear to see her husband like this she missed his prescense so much these days and their daughter also missed her father even thought she could not speak properly Mahdulekha could read her eyes and kept telling her that her father will play and talk with her soon. Even she was missing having conversations with her husband and she tried not to cry in front of Maheswari but her tears refused to obey her command and flew down her cheeks. Maheswari saw her mother cry and wiped away her tears with her little chubby hands and told her

Mahdulekha kissed her daughter and placed her on the bed next to her father Adhriaaj stireed at the first touch of his daughter's hands on his cheeks and smiled at his wife and daughter just then the vaid made a repeat visit with Agnivesh who virtually dragged him out of his house and bought him to their room. Madhulekha got up from the bed with Agnivesh shouting and glaring at the vaid . Madhulekha asked her brother to calm down as did Adhiraaj hearing them Agnivesh's anger subsided for the moment but he kept an eagle eye on the vaid for the duration of his visit and told him that he would haved guards posted outside his house. The vaid dared not open his mouth as he had just witnessed the angry side of Agnivesh and he had no wish to go through it again
Maharani this is due to the wounds on the Maharaj's shoulders I have given him medicine and the fever will go away soon
Madhulekha world came to a standstill why was the wound not healed yet she wondered Agnivesh saw her face and decided to talk to the vaid Adhiraaj slowly opened his eyes and looked at his wife she put his head on her knee and stroked his face he went back to sleep again to weak to say anything

Madhulekha smiled at her husband and daughter exchanging words. Maheswari was showing off her talking skills to her father and much to her amusment Adhiraaj lost himself in his daughter's world. He paid attention to her all along and never took his eyes off Maheswari even when Madhulekha came and sat beside him. She thought he would notice her but his eyes were firmly fixed on his daughter and when she moved away he placed his hand on hers and held them. He turned around for the briefest of moments and said

Now you intend to leave me now Adhiraaj made a sulky face
No Madhulkeha giggled and said not now I will go with you and our daughter tomorrow

No you are just feeling better and you need to rest for a little while longer she stroked his cheek

Look she said sounding all excited their daughter had crawled up to her mother and was now trying to stand up on her legs as best as she could but she was getting angry that she kept falling down her mother offered her hand and Maheshwari grabbed it eagerly and stood up on her own two legs. Finally she let out a big smile pleased at her achievement and gingerly took a few steps forward with her mother's help.
Adhiraaj got up from the bed and smiled at his daughter and seeing him standing Maheswari tried to run to her father but he came to his daughter and picked her up and she lagughed when he twirled her around the air and finally hugged her. Maheswari wrapped her arms around her father's neck and kissed his cheek with Madhulekha looking on at them
Agnivesh entered the room with his wife following him and he was happy as he could be to see Adhriaaj back on his feet with his neice demanding the attention of her father when she saw her uncle she pointed and said
Mamaji Mamiji. She pounced on him for a minute and played with Agnivesh for a couple of minutes then decided that she needed to go back to her father and eagerly held her arms out when he did not notice her as his eyes were fixed on his wife's face she jumped to her father's arms. Agnivesh pretened to be sad and told his wife Maheswari just wants her father now and not her uncle.
Mamaji Mamji Maheswari was claping her hands and Agnivesh smiled at her and made faces which made her giggle and laugh so much. Adhiraaj glanced at his daughter's happy and joyful face and asked his wife to join in the fun as well soon all four of them were busy making silly faces to a child who was pleased as punch that she could make four adults dance to her commands and they obeyed her every word and the reward they got was a never ending series of claps and finally they all kissed Mahewari who returned the favour although her mother and father got more kisses this time .

Agivesh it's very nice to see you
Adhriaaj I am so happy to see you like this it has been a long time
It has hasn't it and thank you for taking over and helping Madhu all this time

And today you have given me the best gift

This the smile on my sister and niece's face is the gift for me and I will never forget this day he walked up to Adhiraaj and hugged him
Tomrrow Ma and Pitaji are coming back and we need to make sure that Maheswari and Adwaitha spend time with them.
Adhiraaj knew what he meant and looked at Madhulekha who told her husband that everything will be fine. Tonight she would sleep better she hoped but the look on Adhiraaj conveyed a different message altogether and Madhulekha smiled back. Agnivesh left the family alone and went to his bedroom . Adhiraaj still carried his daughter and walked to his wife who said I am hoping that this time things will run smoothly between the grandparents and their granddaughter's she hugged her husband who was also hoping for the same thing. Tomorrow would be a battelfied in the palace and he was not looking forward to going through it again. But he had to and somehow he had to make things better. Adhiraaj had to make sure that Maheswari and Adwaitha would get along with their grandparents but how was he going to deal with four sets of grandparents. He knew that Madhulekha would stand by him as would Agnivesh and his sister but how was he going to make Adwaitha and Maheswari understand. Madhulkeha saw the worried look on her husband's face and caught hold of his face in her hands and kissed him and told him not to worry to much. She was anxious for tomorrow as well and hoped that the new day would not dawn at all. She wanted to spend a joyful night with her husband and daughter after spending a restlees few nights alone she wanted this night to go on forever and ever.
