An alien world
"Everyone thinks my entry into the movies was easy as my parents are well-known. But cinema and theatre are two different worlds. I'm not connected to the movies in any way. It's an alien world. When I was shooting for Rocket Singh…I wasn't sure whether I was enjoying myself. And it was a huge let down when the movie didn't work. I still maintain that Rocket Singh is a damn good film. They didn't promote the film well. Also, given the title, people thought Rocket Singh was a comedy when it was actually a serious film. DTBHJ did decently. Perhaps, the 'A' certificate was a dampener.
"Taking on Sajid Khan's Housefull 2 was a planned move. It seemed a quick ticket to get into the big league. My other films portrayed me as a girl; this presents me as a woman. There's a lot of singing and dancing in the film, something I haven't done before. I look at the poster and say, 'Oh my God, that's me!' I know Sajid's films are slapstick. I haven't ever laughed as hard as I did while watching Housefull 2. I'd love to do such films all my life!
Father and I
"Earlier, my father and I always had differences. I was at a rebellious age. I enjoyed going out and my dad was super strict about timings. He used to be like 'dinner at nine' and I would never make it. He's strict on the boyfriend front too. But moving out of my parents' house has given our relationship a lot of space. I get along with him better. The funny part is that he has such an open mind. Recently, when the media wrote stuff about me going on a drive with Sreesanth or Yuvraj Singh he laughed. He is not from some small town to believe all the rubbish written about me.
Akhil Kapoor and me
"Yes, Akhil Kapoor and I are great friends. But there's absolutely no romance between us. So when the media went to town with our pictures together at the Kala Ghoda festival, it was funny. Little did I know that the photographers would be there! Akhil and I go out all the time. We belong to the same group of friends and get along like a house on fire. I don't care what people say.
Plastic surgery
"All these stories about me having gone for a lip and nose job are utter rubbish. When I first appeared in the media, I was 18. Now I am 24. Naturally, I look different now as I was chubbier then. Thanks to working out like a maniac I've managed to lose a lot of my baby fat. There's no question of plastic surgery, it's all my hard work! Who cares if people think I underwent surgery? These petty people don't have any place in my life.
Body beautiful
"I have worn a bikini in Housefull 2 for one of the song sequences. At first I was a little scared, but it's not like you are going nude. I was confident as I've worked on my body and I could see the results. I think I look stunning in it. Usually, actresses don't wear a bikini because they don't have the body for it. If it's carried well and doesn't look tacky then I wouldn't mind wearing a bikini in all my films. I want my parents to com
Housefull 2 gal Shazahn Padamsee will be seen in Disco Valley. Actress Shazahn Padamsee, who was last seen in Sajid Khan's comic caper "Housefull 2", is upbeat about her next film "Disco Valley", which is about a rave party. "I am doing a film 'Disco Valley'. It is a very young film, it's about a big rave party. It will start in October, so I am very excited about that," said Shazahn Padamsee. Directed by Sajit Warrier, "Disco Valley" also features Rajat Barmecha and Manjot Singh. It also features a pig as a protagonist. |
