The Amazing Race

The Amazing Race is a Reality program featuring 11 teams of 2 (12 in the third and fourth seasons) racing around the world for a cash prize of $1,000,000. The teams compete in thirteen legs traveling all over the world. In most legs the last team to arrive at the pit stop is eliminated. When only three teams remain in the race, they compete in a final leg. The team in first place is the winner of $1,000,000 and the winner of The Amazing Race.

Congratulations to The Amazing Race, winning over Survivor and American Idol in the category of Best Reality Competition in the 2003 Primetime Emmy Awards. Now winner for the 2004 Primetime Emmy Awards, also beating both The Apprentice and Last Comic Standing.

Merchandise for The Amazing Race, including jerseys, travel mugs, t-shirts, caps, official "You've been PHILiminated" shirt and pocket adventure kits, can be bought at the show's section at the CBS.com store. All merchandise feature the CBS-created alternate logo that was seen in some CBS promos during The Amazing Race 2 and The Amazing Race 3.
