Failure of hats off shows! An analysis

I think the failure of hats off actually started with praveena's death in BBB. Following it was the failure of JD's HI-5 shows --starting with (in order of date of telecast)
Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (lost TRP's after Vaishali's exit..became a drag)
Remote Control( nice but failed because of weak channel😭)
Chaldi Da naam gaddi ( over confidence of hats off production..same old PJs)
JJJKJF (First episode nice..but became boring ..then went up..then down..then up and finally down..had nothing new...was just like BBB)
Ek packet Umeed (opened with much appreciation...but became a drag)

finally two new shows:
Shree: appeared like a nice concept in starting...then became even worse than ekta's soaps...🤢now resting on the aatma's entry
BBHBBH: Again overconfidence......neither fully comedy nor drama.....stands nowhere.. no fault of time slot...other shows are ruling the same slot (eg: CB of ZEE..)

what do you think?

nice analysis but I dont think Baa Bahoo Baby was a failure. Lets give Shree some more time to prove itself, it looks promising. AS for Buray bhi hum bhale bhi hum I dont like it

OK , I do not think exit of Praveen urf Vaishali did any damage to BBB ... BBB was not just about Vaishali it has some of the BEST talents in Indian television .. actually it is an insult to the talent of such stars as lubna salim,deven bhojani and everone in BBB.

@ instant khichdi.......... if u go back to my posts in jjkjf nd bbb......i always mentioned tht bbb is losing flavor day by day.......nd to be frank..... jjjkjf started on very gud tunes nd then became a drag......everythin was known to the viewers in advance............ menain tht jasuben will come and save the day.........jaise jasuben na ho gayi ....bhagwan ho gayi....... i think jjjkjf started declinin after they made it like ekta serial......the part whr nandini got liver prbs nd allll...........

i think bbb was diffrerent as it had some flavor even after vaishalis death........ but started to drag with the ending episodes.....of bababhai and the irregular time slots and alll that crap fuelled the trps to go down.....even the marriage scene and alll were pretty gud.....nd even minakshi baby was gud.......but after gattu got lost nd they found him......after that the serial became a drag......

for 1 thing i dont like bout hats off is tht they portray everything in too extreme terms...... like the one whr jasuben willl never be wrong nd the part whr baa is the only one who can handle the house better ......
nd favortism for baby nd gattu.....

nowdays the audience wants some reality.....like balika vadhu, uttaran, agle janam, bandini.....

menain life is not tht green at all times.....nd this is whr they lost the touch with the audience......no doubt tht the story was bout middle class famiies......but they were lackin somewhr.....

even in bbhbbh the family seems quite extrems....... menain they have been livin with each other for the past 20 yrs nd have not realised till now that the bure side is taking advantage of the bhale side......small things like this make or break the serial.....

nd some of their bloppers.... which are never understood by anyone else.....

i think if they stick to only comedy then they will not make more moolah but also make more trps......

shows like sarabhai, khichdi nd i-khchdi were among the best rated shows on indian tv......

nd for one thing i dont understand y they r so obssed with joint families....

nd now looks like leela bhabhi is also leavin.....i think jd should eveolve the charcters rather than keep them as it is>>>>>>>

What i meant was BBB lost many viewers after pravina's death.. And that bbb b4 her exit and that after it appeared as two different showz! It appeared as instant bbb rather than bbb. Also pro. house got busy with new shows at a very critical point of her exit !
It was here that things started going wrong.
And @jjjkjf, it had ups & downs, but was gud 1.
And i think no need to clarify RC, EPU AND CDNG...

Sree i think the channel is controlling Hats Off too much ..that is why it is not doing that well.Personally i have never seen it.

BBHBBH -- agreed it is no BBB but it is still 10000 times better than the crap out there.It

JJJkJF- it was a funny show .. On a better channel it would have done great.

You know what you cannot doubt the talent and attitude of the creators of Sarabhai , Khichdi and BBB.. they are the best ..

Lets Leave BBB aside........I dont blame pravina's exit..... The main factor was production house getting busy at the critical time! Before pravina's death..they had only one show ie BBB but the time around Praveena's death..they started new shows
Thus, they didnt pay attention to it at that critical time...and did not make a proper replacement for pravina....placed that fake copy "devki"
Had they thought of the lady who plays jagruti..BBB wont have suffered..


Lets Leave that aside....coming to bure bhi hum....I think hats Off should invent new characters and their characteristics.not repeat that same stuff...for eg:
Mansukh seems to be a downmarket version of pravin (BBB)
Babli's phone craze character seems old and not funny at all
etc etc

in terms of hats off's new inventions....i would like to add sudha off JJJKJF.......her "doubts" character was good...even chandu, pankor, pushpa..etc were good inventions

agree with u........ they should invent new charcters.........like they did for sarabhai and khichdi.....

infact i hated Jassuben too.....(I think swati is a talented actress and can do much better...the character of jassuben was not polished properly)...her character was so artificial...Tulsi-Parvati types......
in jjjkjf...there were only two excellent performances by this actress when she shows a director that villagers are future of india and when she slaps chandu and hurts his ego.

Godavari on the other hand appears so realistic
I loved both baby's and Gattu's role in Remote Control....I loved the scenes where Rajnigandha(benaf aka baby) showed sympathy towards babulnath(Deven aka gattu)...comparing to their stupendous roles in that show...their role in BBB actually appeared somewhat boring. Gattu's role was interesting in old BBB (2005-07) but became so artificial in the new one (2007-09)..[plz iss point ka issue mat khada karna..i am saying what i infer from my analysis).

no doubt, Deven is a talented actor.and he is my fav actor in the telly industry...but i think that it was the fault of creatives that his character lost that charm that existed in the beginning...
Benaf is a new actress.....and her acting was excellent in RC....there was some prob in the type of role assigned to her in the show
