It reminds me so much of " Bharat Ek Khoj" which aired on Doordarshan in late eighties based on book The Discovery of India . They were well researched , well cast and well directed series by Shyam Benegal. It was class . So you can imagine how impressed I am with the First episode.

The costumes, make up 👏 Except the last scene with Kabir Bedi as the Seer was a bit filmy 😕

Deepz Good Old TV daysNostalgic..I used to watch those shows religiously and yes I am very impressed with the kind of quality they brought with the first episode itself.The scene with the seer is mentioned in the various stories of Lord Buddha where he senses the birth of Lord Buddha and later on does a prophecy that the child would become a sanyasi😊

Request to zee tv - please promote this show on regular basis in between peak time shows on weekdays, and in other medias.

don't ignore the show after 2-3 weeks like channel does for other shows. buddha is only once a week so TRP/TVT should not be taken seriously.

Beautiful post with lovely pics!

Totally loved the first episode.Queen Maya was presented the way she's described in Buddhist Literature.

In Buddhist literature and art Queen Maya is portrayed as a beautiful fecund woman in the prime of life.

Her beauty sparkles like a nugget of pure gold. She has perfumed curls like the large black bee. Eyes like lotus petals, teeth like stars in the heavens.
What about those plots made by Queen Mangala?Were they part of Buddha's History?😕
All the graphical presentations were excellent.

You are welcome.Me too I am keeping my fingers crossed.I do hope they maintain the kind of finesse and class that they started with.THe first episode was totally fast paced and I loved the whole era kind of feel to it😊Even the pictures images and costumes are inspired from the paintings and all😊

Agree with you

The total created atmosphere was so good n real ,drawn me back to that era

After a long time any show got such a good kind of start--

hoping they will maintained this in coming days also
