In what is seen as a shocking twist in the current number one serial Brahmarakshas, Parag Tyagi, who has been playing the titular role will be out and Kishwer Merchant will take his place. She is presently playing the role of Aparijita in the serial. Sources say that Parag's character will be killed during a dramatic Kali Puja sequence by none other than Aparijita. This twist has come as a huge surprise as the serial is doing well and Parag's track is also doing good. A source close to the actor says that he was shocked to learn that his character is dying. "He has no idea what happened, but feels that it's a creative call," adds the source. Kishwer, on the other hand, is more than excited to play the fiery role and is preparing for it. "I had played a vampire in one of my earlier shows Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, so I have a fair idea what I have to do. Of course, it will take a lot more effort to scare people, but I have seen how Parag does it. However, he is huge and I am a girl, so that difference will be there. Right now, I am trying out different looks for the part," says the actress, who will now play a double role. While, Parag's Brahmarakshas directed his anger towards newly-wed brides dressed in red, Kishwer's monster will be triggered by gulaal, dhol and Kaali maa ki murti. Her Brahmarakshas is a half-human and half-beast creature that can inhabit any gender. |
