I have also read the book & (though I didn't love it as much as I've loved certain other fictions) I was so glad that I read it & I too felt that it was very well-worth reading & definitely a must-read 😊 Another thing that struck me while I was reading the book was this..there is a line that is repeated a few times in this book which goes something like "If you really want to achieve something the entire Universe will endeavour to help you to achieve it" (Something to that effect) Do you guys remember this line being quoted (verbatim I think) in the movie "Om Shanti Om" by SRK?😛

Paulo Coelho is a brilliant writer. I've read The Alchemist thrice and I can still read it. Very good book! A must read!

I liked this book. There was a lot of symbolism and cultural references but I liked the life lessons he learned along the way. I would probably need to read it again to fully understand all the nuances, but it has a great moral at the end.

well,me and my friends had gr8 fun ,making fun of that book..!!...for some one into philosophical things,it might be a must read..but for agatha christie and shidney sheldon lovers..think thrice before touching it..!!
