Green no more takes me to another world, well after paper towns to be precise.

Even I don't find TFIOS as one of the best reads. I actually had a HUGE amount of expectations from the book, since all said that it is sooo damn amazing!! But somehow I couldn't cry when Gus died, I couldn't feel that 'amazing' when I finished the book. As I said before, maybe I and love stories don't go together or something, but hence I just feel it over-rated! The simplicity of the story and the quotes of the book, was what I just loved about it:)
Thanks for the comment!!

Well I've always thought that all John Green's books are extremely simple stories but written in a very beautiful and appealing way. And for me this is the case of TFIOS too. I found the story really simple but I just loved the way the entire book was written. Some phrases absolutely amazed me and at the same time there was a good psychological introspection in the characters which I always appreciate.
Moreover it got such a hugely warm response, I think its being overrated is due to the enormous sale of the book.

Hey Priya! I guess yeah we do!! You are a Tejasswiholic right?
Thats one point I agree with. He writes with a simplicity, and in that simplicity weaves some amazing of quotes and metaphors, that make it so beautiful...just like you said! Some phrases and sentences are really amazing, like mind blowing I should say!! And that is another aspect of the book I loved.
Maybe, it is the reason, but I feel it is over-rated! I couldn't find it as amazing as everyone says!! It was like a sweet simple novel, but not something sooo amazing!! Except the phrases and quotes!
Thanks for commenting!

Please consider it friendly advice, you need to check out Gayle Forman and Sarah Dessen before Paper Towns. 😆

It's just that me and a couple of people I know didn't like paper Towns much, we preferred TFIOS over PT. If you still want to read Green, then I think Looking for Alaska would be a safer choice.

Then, by all means, go ahead. I didn't mean to sound like that, but I'm way too frank and can't shut my mouth when it comes to books so...I hope you understand.
