Devil In Winter was the first book I heard of by Kleypas and just reading the reviews made me fall for it , but I had to wait a long while and another book (Seduce Me At Sunrise) to finally get my hands on Sebastian and Evie's tale. Gosh! They are my absolute favorite Kleypas couple! Followed by Leo and Kat (Married By Morning) I think you'll love them too, since you're reading Win-Merripen's story you would have come across them. Another huge favorite is Derek Craven (that name alone is fabulous ⭐️) and Sara Fielding from Dreaming Of You (this is almost similar to Devil In Winter in premise, in fact I think Craven's name has been mentioned in the book) You must read that one!

Among others, Suddenly You has an interesting premise of how the main couple meet, but it was okay compared to the others (but do check it out)

Stranger In My Arms is a book I still have to finish but that one's really interesting about a woman who has serious doubts whether the man who literally comes back from the dead is actually her hated husband or an identical impostor who is in love with her.

Again The Magic also has an interesting story about a stable boy beaten and banished from a mansion for falling in love with the daughter of the manor and how he returns as an adult, rich and powerful, with only revenge on his mind against that family and the girl who betrayed him. It's like a prequel to It Happened One Autumn.

I really want to read the Bow Street Series which I haven't been able to get my hands on so far. I think those ones are far more darker than the rest.

Hope these help 😊

bigg bigg hugs! I am adding the contemporary stories in my reading list. I came across her works from goodreads. DIW was first of it. From review i learnt about Derek-Sara, the leads are almost alike Evie-Sebastian.I'm totally into reformed rakes. I have read Again The magic & Wallflower Christmas. Leo's character I didn't like in Part 1 (Mine till Midnight)... Anyways I will read the series. I've a habit of reading fav stories over n over rather trying something new. 😆 The last story (Worth Any Price) of Bowstreet Runners series is pretty interesting..try it if you want. Nicholas..the hero ❤️

I love Lisa Kleypas and I have read most of her backlist.I'm looking forward to the second book in the Ravenals series. The first book in the series has most of the backstory of the couple in the second book.Let's see how Kleypas handles the romance between the shy aristocratic heroine and the hero who's a self-made man.Their engagement didn't work out in the first book and he did a great job of alienating her guardian and wife (H & h of the first book).

But 'Dreaming of You' was horrible. Derek cheats on the heroine during their separation. And that's a big NO for me. And it wasn't as if they were separated for years. And to add salt to the wound he cheats with a woman who resembles the heroine since he can't have the latter. And IIRC the woman tells the heroine about it too.

He's a slumlord and he considers Sarah can do better than him. She's in the slum to do research or write a book(I don't remember). After she leaves he's kinda obsessed with her and cheats on her with a w**re who looks similar to Sarah.I don't know why people love Derek. He's an alpha boor who cheats on the heroine.😡 A hero (heroine) who cheats or rapes is a huge roadblock. Some people can move past it.

Lisa Kleypas makes her heroes do some pretty awful things.😆 Didn't Sebastian kidnap one of the other Wallflowers? When Harry Rutledge (Tempt me at Twilight) became enamored of Poppy Hathaway, he pulled strings so that her boy friend dumped her.And then he compromised her at a ton party. In Friday harbor, the hero deliberately seduces the heroine and then steals her family's secret spell book. She was devastated.

LMAO!!! agree with u dear!! not only LK, most of the Historical Romance heros are like that.. In that days, compromising a girl will be considered as one of the best way to achieve her.. Sebastian had abducted Lillian in 2nd story, get beaten by Marcus (her fianc) who was also his best friend!!🤢 i must say he was a nasty villain in that part.. LK did complete reverse of his character in DIW. I wonder how she did it..even it looked real!😲 Haven't read TMAT yet. thnx for informing me beforehand. But frankly i love dark, arrogant, devious heros more than sweet, modest ones. 😆 Just a choice..

I have read the Wallflowers, I think. I like her books, though she's not my most fav, but I do enjoy them.

^no worries.. Take your time. You can read some as stand alone too. The characters are related but you will still understand if you start from middle of the series. Even I had started like this 😆 The leads are different in each book of her series. But they're all part of same group. Either friends or family or colleagues of each other.
