Ah, Wuthering Heights...among my all-time favorite classics. A word of warning: its meant different things for different people. Which is why it can be found at the same time in majority of the most loved and most hated books of alltime 😆.
When I first read it I didn't like it at all with its very dark premise, but on rereading it a year later I fell completely in love with the book. It was literally a gut-wrenching moment!
So beware, you can experience very strong feelings with this book, love or hate thats for you to decide 😉.

Really I've had my shares of experience of reviews of this book. 😆 I've seen people hating on it or loving it. It has extreme reviews. So I think I would give it a try and try decide myself as to what this book is. 😳 Thanks for your views. :)

Well, I didn't realise at first that it was almost fifty years. 😆 It really is an amazing thing, fantastic authors both of them.

In that case you must read the other works of Charlotte Bronte like Shirley, Villette and The Professor. Bronte always wrote strong female characters who are also flawed, making them all the more natural.
Though, of course, none can match the level of Jane Eyre, they are great reads nevertheless and are best in giving a more detailed view of class & society, but more than that the psychology and situation of women in those days.

I'm yet to read Shirley, Villette. 😆 And ofcourse The Professor. More than half of my literary buddies suggested me The Professor. I've too much on my plate right now. 😆

Aye aye, Sir. Next book is The Professor. 😛

P.S- No, I suffered enough reading the first two books. They are such a reader's sore. I pray thee for E.L James's soul. 🤔

Yup, it was the first novel she wrote but it was rejected by all the publishers she took it to. So she put it away thinking it wasn't good enough. When she died she was already a famous novelist after which The Professor was brought out and published posthumously.
