Hi !

I just read a few books this month and I am literally patting my back (or at least trying to) for picking these up:

1. The Kite runner. (It has made me cry like a baby)

2. Dozakhnama (If you are into Ghalib and Sadat hassan manto, Even if you are not, I daresay you will be inclined to read more of their works)

3. The fault in our stars. ( I am halfway through it and it is GOOD.)

4. The inscrutable americans (I didn't fancy it much but the Indian idiosyncrasies mentioned are hilarious. Its just that its all about getting an indian LAID, I had expected more, but then again, that's just me)

Also, I am trying to get my hands on Never let me go by Kazuo ishiguro, If on a winter's night a traveller by Italo Calvino, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and Catcher in the rye by Salinger.

Lemme know if any of these helped :)

I absolutely adored The fault in our stars. It is a beautiful book.
I didn't fancy The inscrutable americans either. It's hilarious in parts, yes. But then I got bored halfway through it. And I couldn't really continue after that. Lost interest.
I am yet to read The Kite Runner. I haven't ever heard of Dozakhnama. Will check it out!
Thank you for the recommendations! 😳

I actually preferred a thousand splendid suns to kite runner. If kite runner made you cry then you definitely need to read Hosseini's second book. I'm currently reading his most recent book called and the mountain's echoed. Its been slow so far but I have high expectations from his previous novels so I'm sure this will be a fantastic read too

Basically picked up the book cause of Ezra Miller - still havent watched the movie but I have trouble imagining the same story in the form of a movie considering how other books have been thrashed,

My recommendation We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver.
Amazing book. Has a bit of suspense and by the end, you would be definitely creep ed out and in tears of what might happen next. The beginning may be boring for some .. Also Avoid watching the movie first. It was CRAP in front of the book.

I saw 'we need to to talk about Kevin' in the library and I thought I had seen someone mention it to me. I didn't get the book unfortunately but it sounds interesting considering the title of the book

I'm trying to get into horror books right now so I went for the obvious choices: Stephen king and Dean Koontz lol. I need to know what the hype is about

Omg its b borderline horror. Dean Kuntz would seem a joke in front of this book
