^^ As far as I could figure out, it was only to make Edward prettier :P LOL.... I think the author was trying to do something different with the vampire myths but... it didn't work out to put it mildly :P

yeah I still remember that the way SM had set up the chapter I thought it was going to be something disgusting and gory...but then again I was disappointed

anyways the only cool thing that I liked about the vampires in Twilight was their powers...like Eddie's mind reading, Alice's future seeing,Jasper controlling emotions(which I thought was the weirdest one of all) and Jane's casuing power (HOW awesome would that be😛)

Yepp trying to do something diff with vamp myths.

I deff do love Jasper's power, its something completly diff I never heard over a power to control and change emotion of people before Twi I have to give her props for that. Other than that the other powers were cool but I it wasn't something new.

In sparkiling boys is not cute. My men don't sparkle. The yhave dimples :D

I actually found Carlilse history interesting too, thought I was the only one. I wanted to know more, but I forgot Twilght's second name is Edward.

yeah Carlisle's history was interesting...actually all of their back stories were interesting..I wish SM gave a backstory to Emmett as well!😒

But anyways, now that I think about it I did love all the background stories more than the love story and the current story.

Yeah Em, would have been nice. We don't know anything execpt that he reminded Rose of Royce and that he looked like the boy she always wanted (the baby)

thank you guys for the no VD spoilers. :)

for Twilight, I thought I was the only one who enjoyed the backstories more than the actual thing. The rest of the people I know who don't like it, don't like it at all. I'll admit there were parts that did not make me want to cringe. Those parts tended not to include Bella. Sometimes Edward was there (though not often, unless it was a Cullen family scene) but mostly, just everyone else. They were interesting.

And the powers were cool. Jasper's were my favourite. And Jane's was cool, but when Bella's powers manifested, did no one else think she was a MarySue? like, so her only purpose in life was to become an uber-powerful vampire? so sad.
