Nope, you certainly are not! Count me in too!! For me , books are like an obsession, even in malls, I keep searching for book stores and even when I go out for walks, I jus have to spot a book store and you can be sure, I have taken the detour to it! I find it immensely calming to sit in a library or a book store ( especially at Crossword) and skim through the books or read a favorite of mine!

They have the most amazing calming affect on me!

And about the pppl who accompany , they do try so hard to distract me from book stores and all that , but they only mutter furiously "She's hopless" and let me be there ..!

I am so hopeless that in railway stations, I dont even spare those mobile book stalls or the second hand road side book waale... when I visit my hometown!

I just cant resist books or book stores... and I have to spend hours there... not that I realize the time when I get in there.... I jus lose track of time and of myself when I am there!

Am so glad I found so many like minded people here! Wohoo... I am not alone!😆

^^ I know, doesn't it sound good that we are not alone?? 😳😳

My brother keeps making fun of me that I eat, drink, and sleep books?! 😆 He keeps saying that I can live without food forever but not without books 😆

But yeah it's hard to pass a bookstore without going in? And what's worse is that I spend countless hours online searching for new books and reading reviews and all... Too time consuming but when I come across good books, its all worth it!

^^ I know Mahi - I do that too, I keep surfing these book sites looking for new books that have come up and also the magazine section of the newspaper which lists the new book reviews and stuff!! I just cant resist! My mum jus rolls her eyes and gives up when she sees me with a book!!!

And i have desire to have a HUGE library of my own with all my fav books in a collection!!

Can you believe, I've signed up for a couple of these book sites, which have these reviews written and stuff and its so nice when ppl send in their reviews and stuff!! And there a couple of sites, where we could go and review stories written by others as well and its quite a bit of fun too really!!

^^ Oh wow, that's interesting.. On thing about the reviews that I don't like is that when I hear a very bad review, I start getting a negative feeling about the book even without reading it which I feel is not fair to the book.

About the library, yeah that's my dream too! In fact I have started as well... from my scholarship money I have spent about 200 bucks on buying some 20 books.. some that I have read and others that I want to read.

^^ Yeah I agree on the review bit, that if we read too many negetive reviews, we tend to skip the book and its rather not fair. I kind of refrain from that doing that, I try at least . I usually stick to quick reviews and a overview of the story. Thatz about it! Many reviews sadly reveal too much of the story killing the suspense of it ! My friends often complain.

I like it when I read a book without any preconceived notion based on any review except that it is a good read or a well written one! If you know what I mean! I like the curiosity to remain!

And oh the library - cool... you;'ve already begun - I have too!! And believe am so proud of it too!

Not only that, I tend to stop by at libraries, which isn't exactly fun for whoever is out waiting for me. Another problem: I tend to loose track of time really quick when browsing Which, inevitably leads to running into trouble later 😆

I 100 percent agree!

Yup, so true, same here Jessie, I just have to step in to the book store no matter what and people who are with me , get so mad at me and my poor mum has given up and yeah about browsing books, I can spend hours and hours jus browsing and reading there!

Now if I am late returning from work , my mum knows I would have stepped into a book store on the way , taking a detour and its the first thing she warns me when she wants me to get home soon - Dont step into a book store get it?!! 😆

Hi everyone,

I know that I for once cannot pass by a bookstore without aleast going in and having a look around. I often annoy friends and family who happen to be with me because I drag them in with me too!😆
So the question to you, is do you have as little self control as I do😆 when you pass a bookstore?

Rarely. if my husband is with me it is a task to make him wait, Now a days he come with me and look for books. A good change indeed.,😆

^^ Lucky you! I still get cold stares from my brother whenever I ask him to stop at a book store or a library. 😆😳
