INTERVIEW | My relationship with Salman is personal: Katrina

Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar make the hottest on screen pair 'Singh Is Kinng'. She reveals her likes and dislikes, and also says that though she loves to act with Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and her relationship with Salman Khan is personal.

Q: What about your character in the movie?

A: Every movie appeals to me in its own way. This movie means a lot to me. Aness had already given me a fantastic movie as "Namastey London". It was a role of a life time. I do not think about my characters and what I am doing in the movie.

Q: After hits in a row, can you comfortably say that you can do no wrong in Bollywood?

A: I always try to improve with each film. My earlier movies were not working good at box office. But one has to accept good times as well as trying times. I got recognition for my dance from my last release movie "Race" opposite Saif and Akshaye Khanna. Bollywood industry appreciated me for my character in "Namastey London" opposite Akshay Kumar.

Q: What really works with the on screen pair of Akshay Kumar and you?

A: I think we worked with fabulous directors like Vipul Shah and Aness Bazmee. Raj Kanvar with "Hum Ko Deewana Ker Gaye" has given a hit movie. The scripts have allowed us to do movies that viewers liked. The scripts gave us opportunities to perform. Take for example, the pair of Shahid and Kareena in "Jab We Met". The script was fine. Script gives good opportunity to put in your best in the movie. Akshay never made me a look inferior. He supported me from the very begining. This is a big factor in me for gaining confidence. He gives his hundred percent in his characters.

Q: Are you satisfied with the roles that you have got?

A: I put my heart and soul in my movies. People advise me and I accept them. There is no point acting to empty seats.

Q: What is the hardest part of being Bollywood hot favourite actress?

A: I love songs, and I do not do a movie which has no songs. I figure out what works for me and then decide.

Q: If you had to pick your top three co-stars with whom you want to work, who you think you would click with?

A: Obviously, if I had to work with fantastic actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan and Sunny Deol, I would love to act. I like to do a movie with Hrithik Roshan too. There is some magnetic about Sunny. The moment I come across him, it is completely amazing. Shahrukh Khan is a legend, and every actor wants to work with him at one point of time.

Q: Do you want to put to east people saying that the roles that you have got is becasue of the firends you have in the industry, one of them being Salman Khan?

A: People can say what they want. They are welcome to say that. I am blessed. God has given me enough strength. I am not into these pretty things. My relationship with Salman is very personal.

Aww really nice interview hope she carries on doing well film wise shes definetly improving and can see better choices in movies.

As for salman shes definetly private hope they get married..

she sounds like a snob these days! she really hasn't proved herself as an actress! even actresses like rani, preity, and kareena come across more humble than her. she is where she is because of salman, and theres not denying that. cmon who knew she existed during the days of boom?~! And then all of a sudden, everyone stood up and took notice because she was spotted with salman khan!...he helped her get a movie or two, which obviously worked in her favor because of akshay kumar. it still baffles me how an actress like her can demand 3+ crores per/movie?? odd... but then again, where are directors gonna find a hot chick like her whos willing to play fiddle to an actor?? =)

yes! and i hope she gets married to salman, for the sake of salman! i think hes seen too much in life and hell be completely shattered if she leaves him! i LOVE the fact that she keeps her personal life personal. thats why its called a personal life. hehe.....relationships like that are more successfull...and i really do hope it works for them personally. although i am a bit eerie of the age difference.

I think the girl is very pretty but why does she never answer any question. Fine, she doesn't want to talk about Salman but atleast try not to give vague answers to every question asked.

Did she not get the simple question..and she chooses movies based on the songs?? no wonder she is still so terrible in acting and chooses the most inane roles..

She is just doing movies for money and fame judging by the interview, she has absolutely no love for the craft... she also doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shade

Yeah there is no such thing as creative satisfaction, if you're happy being a showcase doll in Akshay and Salman movies then more power to you..

Two of Katrina's answers in the interview have really baffled me She seems to be a sweet girl but I think she still has a long way to go in terms of mastering the craft of acting. It's not all about song and dance, you need to also prove yourself as an actor and show that you have the ability to mould yourself into complex characters as well. I don't want to judge whether or not her heart is in the right place because I'm in no position to do so but she seems to lack passion for film-making. Katrina has yet to do that but good luck to her

^^Why I don't think of much of Katrina as an actress is proven by this interview. I mean, seriously, there is a reason why she is not taken seriously when she things popularity equals everything. If we think that way, then that would be like saying Sanjay Suri is a worse actor than her, which is a very supercilious way for her to think. Song and dance don't alone make a movie. If that is what she really thinks, then wow.
