He walks out of 'Love Story 2050' screening in a huff!
Aditya Chopra, Yash Chopra's clownish looking son simply loves to watch movies.
Come on, doesn't he have to show off his great cinematic sensibilities and gather more knowledge in order to sustain the multi-crore Chopra empire?
The avid film lover always makes it a point to watch all the latest releases in the cinema halls.
The buzz is that most of his Fridays are spent in theatres and even if he's very busy with appointments and things like that, he postpones them just to watch movies.
Well, everything for the sake of his dedication towards cinema, of course!
It's believed that Aditya doesn't prefer private screening of films and he hardly holds any for his movies. He doesn't even attend any other film maker's private screenings.
Maybe he thinks it will help him to gauge audience reactions better. In spite of the less encouraging feedback for his last couple of films, he has continued with this old habit of his.
This also helps him to show the world that he's different and all that!
Now it's being said that Adi was waiting eagerly for the release of 'Love Story 2050' as it has been considered the first futuristic sci-fi film of Bollywood.
My khabroo spotted Aditya Chopra watching 'Love Story 2050' at a public show in a suburban theatre in Mumbai. It was not on Friday, the 4th of July, but on the previous Thursday. There were paid previews of the film on Thursday night, a day before the film released.
Aditya Chopra along with several other people from film industry were there to watch the eagerly awaited film. But the disappointment was evident on everyone's faces as the movie was not up to the mark. Everybody passed comments about how boring the movie was and Aditya seemed to get very angry.
Umm...his great cinematic sensibilities were hurt and everything, huh?
My source says, "Adi shocked everyone by walking out of the show angrily even before the movie actually got over. Everybody around him was stunned as nobody expected a film maker like Aditya to do something to insult another filmmaker."
So what made him walk out of the show?
Probably he was feeling ashamed about being spotted watching a film like that!
I would like to question him about his last couple of trashy movies.
What was 'Tashan' all about? 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' and 'Aaja Nachle' were just over hyped with not an iota of sense.
The recent 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic' has also fallen flat on its face.
'Love story 2050' at least managed to collect a good amount of money and as a respectable filmmaker he should have appreciated the fact that Harry Baweja at least made an attempt to make a futuristic movie.
Actually Adi feels that he's a great film maker. A reality check is recommended big time for the guy.
Well, man if you don't pull up your socks, your big empire might become a thing of the past, pretty fast!
But it's good if Adi has realised at last how the poor audiences feel when they are made to sit through his lousy films.
It's also believed that Priyanka Chopra, the leading lady of 'Love Story 2050', had arranged a trial show of the film at Yash Raj Studios on the late evening of Friday, July the 4th. But the show was cancelled at the last minute due to 'unavoidable circumstances'.
It's being said that Priyanka developed cold feet after the reports of the film were unanimously negative, right from the first show of the film!
Looks like snobbish Chopra's big snub made her chicken out all the more!
