"Rajeev suddenly got a call from a Delhi journalist saying that chief minister, Sheila Dixit had highly recommended Aamir to him as she had found it to be very engaging," says Gupta.
Gupta adds, "Rajeev told the reporter that we would be in Delhi for our DVD launch over the weekend and to our pleasant surprise we suddenly received an invitation from the chief minister expressing her desire to meet us both. We were completely overwhelmed and did not want to miss the opportunity to meet such a cultured lady."
Gupta tells After Hrs that the Delhi CM is quite a movie buff and that they had a great time conversing with her. He adds that they were in fact quite amazed to see how she remembered the scenes and dialogues from the film. "We reached her residence around lunch time and we were really happy that she liked our film so much. She could narrate some of the dialogues of the film and also remembered some of the scenes from the film. It was a great honour for both of us," says Gupta.
Gupta adds, "She said that no other film has ever shown Mumbai quite like Aamir has. She loved the realistic shots of the busy city streets. She appreciated how we portrayed the religious bias that still exists in our society. It was great meeting her. She also appreciated Rajeev's performance in the film and praised him. Both of us were extremely flattered."
