Vidya Balan - Lazy but brainy

No wonder Vidya is what she is today. She said she was fat as kid and always found some excuse not to go out and play....

Here is her interview:

I was a very lazy child. I was very fat and used to have a lot of trouble walking. Whenever my mother asked me to go out and play, I used to make bahanas like a stomach ache or something. I remember whenever it was my turn to give my den while playing Hide and Seek, I would give my 'stomach ache' reason. I used to love eating food.

I used to like watching movies on television. When it came to studies, I was an above average student. I used to get very good marks in some subjects which I liked. I did not like History at all and was weak in it. When I did not like a subject, I never used to concentrate on it. I liked English, Hindi and Algebra in which I scored well.

I was very politically correct even when I was a kid. Whenever I did a mistake, I used to apologise for it. My sister who did not accept her mistake was scolded more by my mother. Our father never raised a hand on us. My upbringing has been such that my parents have always told me not to hide anything. They have taught me to accept any mistakes that I have committed. He says that not accepting one's mistakes can cause problems.
