Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who turned 27 yesterday, made sure that the glam quotient was kept high with John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and other Bollywood stars at his party

Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 27 in true Bollywood style. His birthday bash, which was held in the ballroom of a posh suburban hotel yesterday, included a sizeable number of Bollywood starlets.

Of course, the cricket fraternity was in attendance but it was Dhoni's filmi friends who stole the show.

Dhoni, who personally made the guest list, made sure that the glamour quotient was kept high with Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, Minissha Lamba, Koena Mitra amongst others.

Family, friends, cricketers and members of the BCCI board were also present to wish the T20 captain.

When contacted, Dhoni's manager Yudigit confirmed the story and said, "We invited a lot of people from the film industry as well as members of the BCCI and Dhoni's friends from the cricket fraternity."

A source, on condition of anonymity, said, "Yes, John did receive an invite to his good friend Dhoni's party. He attended the do along with Bipasha."

Minissha Lamba was also supposed to attend the party, but she could not make it in the last minute. Minissha said, "I received an invitation to Dhoni's party but couldn't make it due to some work."

Meanwhile, the party turned out useful for Yudigit, who announced the launch of his talent management company at the do.
