| Working at fever pitch It's bizarre, but all the three lead actors of Tarun Mansukhani's romantic comedy Dostana have fallen ill simultaneously. Abhishek Bachchan has been under the weather for a while now. Says a source from the crew, "He has also been worried about his wife's health but he has been shooting non-stop for Dostana. In fact Abhishek shot Apoorva Lakhia's item song for Mission Istaanbul by night, and Dostana by day. Eighteen hours of shoot at a stretch was bound to take its toll on his health." John Abraham too fell ill earlier this week, upsetting the tight almost-complete shooting schedule of Dostana. John, who's usually fit as a fiddle, is down too, with viral fever. Priyanka Chopra has been ill and been shooting for Dostana despite a viral fever. "It's hell," she croaks through a bad throat on the day of her new release, Love Story 2050. "As it is, I'm nervous about the film, not just for Harman's sake but because it is my first release this year. I'm very unwell. Normally I wouldn't even be out of bed under these conditions. But Dostana is on its last leg and we do need to make sure that the indoor portions representing Miami (being shot at Film City) are completed on time. So, all three of us are working through ill health. Such is the nature of our job."

| Mere paas Aamir hai! Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut Luck by Chance is getting bigger and bigger. The film will not just have Konkona Sen Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan and Isha Sharvani playing key roles, it will also feature some Bollywood celebrities in cameo roles.
Says a source close to the film's unit, "Zoya has been scouting for top names to do cameos in her film that revolves around Bollywood. She has already shot with Aamir, Rani, Kareena, SRK, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Raju Hirani and all of them have interesting roles in the film. Even the reclusive Aamir, who kept away from Om Shanti Om's 30-star song Deewangi, is rumoured to do a guest appearance in the film." Whether the film will prove lucky for Zoya or not, getting a volley of established stars to do a cameo for her debut film is quite an achievement. |
| Double debut If you have been missing the husband-wife duo of Shakti Anand and Sai Deodhar (Captain Vikram Kocchar and Monica of Saara Akash) on the small screen, this one is for you. Sai and Shakti, who fell in love while working in Saara Akash, are set to woo fans with their silver screen debut. They were hoping to keep this hush-hush but our khabroo informs us that the Hindi film they have shot for, is complete and will hit the theatres by the end of this year. The film, yet-untitled, is produced and directed by Sai's mother, Shrabani Deodhar, who has directed films like Pehchaan and Silsila Hai Pyaar Ka. Confirming this, Sai says, "It's a light-hearted comedy, something like a modern Hrishikesh Mukherji film." |
