Jaaved Jafferi who was last seen in Indra Kumar's Dhamaal as Manav, will next be playing a sardar named Mika in Vipul Shah's Singh is Kinng. We spoke to Jaaved to find out more.
Says the talented actor, "My name is Mika, who is a part of a gang based in Australia. Among all the sardars, Akshay Kumar is the king. My character Mika has lots of deficiencies. He can't see properly and at the same he can't hear also. There are some funny moments which will definitely cheer up the audience who will come to watch this film."
On Neha Dhupia and Akshay Kumar, he adds, "Neha Dhupia is also the part of our gang and she is in love with Mika. There won't be many love scenes but in the end they will be together. It was great working with Akshay Kumar as he is very focused on his work but at the same time when we were not shooting we all used to have a blast. Kamal Chopra, Yashpal, Neha Dhupia, Sudhanshu Pandey and me used to speak in Punjabi so it was great fun working with them in Australia."
On his memorable scene, he says, "I will never forget the one in between the sea near Australia. I had to jump and that area of sea was very famous for sharks which really made me very nervous but in the end nothing major happened."
Asked about the change in his spelling, he clarifies, "It has been the same but for the last 15-20 years the media has been spelling it incorrectly as Javed. There is no numerological connection to it."
Apart from Singh is Kinng, he has lent his voice to Roadside Romeo as Charile Anna and will be seen in Loot, Daddy Cool and Hello Darling.
