Work 24 x7 for Sallubhai
There's one man in Bollywood who is awfully busy. Not only does he have five films slated for release in 2008 but is also filming round the clock for another handful coupled with a much awaited television quiz show. And that's none other super star Salman Khan. As compared to 2007 where Salman had three big releases in Partner, Saawariya and Salaam-E-Ishq, this year Salman will hit the big screen in numerous big budget films like Samir Karnik's Heroes, Rumi Jaffrey's God Tussi Great Ho, Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj, Boney Kapoor's Wanted Dead and Alive and Sohail Khan's Main aur Mrs Khanna.
But that's not all!
"Salman is currently wrapping up Main aur Mrs Khanna. Some part of Wanted Dead and Alive is left. While doing that he will also work on the first series of his television show – Dus ka Dum. And then from August he will begin filming for Veer," says a close friend of the star.
Khan himself has written Veer and is involved in every aspect of the film – from location hunting to other stars in the film.
"He has high hopes from this film. It could have gone on the floors much earlier than it is actually now in the second half of the year. But that's because he wants to give all his attention to Veer. There is a lot of action and stunts in the film… just like Wanted Dead and Alive but only on a much larger scale," says the source.
So what has brought this change in the actor?
"Salman loves acting but right now he is in a very good place mentally. Post Partner he is really enjoying this surge in his fan following and so are other producers and directors," says the friend adding, "Also at the same time Salman is very serious of expanding his Being Human Foundation. He wants to generate money for it and what better way then doing more and more films. In addition to that he is also doing a lot more stage shows all over the world. He wants to earn more money so he can support more and more people!"
