RGV ke Sholay again?
Ram Gopal Varma's love and admiration for Sholay is commendable. In spite of Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag being the biggest critical and commercial debacle of recent times, it has been reported that he wants to remake Sholay, yet again!

An industry insider discloses to us, "Ram Gopal Varma is totally hung up on Sholay and he wants to make it well this time. He is going to start casting soon, when Sarkar Raaj wraps up."
We tried to contact Mr. Varma but he was unreachable. An official at K Sera Sera productions confirms the report saying, "Yes, Mr. Varma has thought of giving the remake of Sholay another try."
RGV has not had a successful box office run in recent times. Nishabd was critically acclaimed but a commercial disaster, 'Darling' starring Esha Deol and Fardeen Khan has been long forgotten and RGV Ki Aag has been criticized enough.
In the past he was not happy with the final product of his production 'James', another box-office dud and he remade it as 'Shiva' which also failed to create any sort of impact. Sarkar in 2005 is his sole successful tryst with the box office in recent times
It is amazing how he has remained unperturbed by the failure of RGV ki Aag, which was wrong on every level. Will his next attempt set things right and who will risk starring in the movie? RGV recently apologized to Mr. Bachchan for persuading him to star in Nishabd and RGV and the Big B accepted his apology, praising the director's talent.
On the positive side, the first look of Sarkar Raj has received an encouraging response to the delight of RGV's fans and the production house. Sarkar Raaj, which releases on June 6 this year, promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor.
