Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor - Modern day Karan-Arjun

Ajay Devgan had built a strong rapport with filmmaker Prakash Jha during the making of box-office hits 'Gangaajal' and 'Aparhaan'. So, it was but natural that Jha chose Devgan to play the character of Karan his modern day 'Mahabharata' which is titled 'Rajniti'. Manoj Bajpai, in all probability, will play the character of Duryodhana.

The latest addition to this news chain is that Ranbir Kapoor has been approached by Jha to play the character of Arjun. Apparently Ranbir had read the script before leaving for Italy to shoot for Siddharth Anand's 'Bachna Aye Haseeno', and has already given an affirmative nod to Jha's office.

'Rajniti' will be shot extensively in Jamshedpur and USA, and Prakash Jha is working hard to make this movie as grand as the epic.
