Big B's World Tour in Jeopardy

It seems that the Bachchan family world tour, which begins in July, is in jeopardy even before it gets off. One by one, the tour is beginning to lose it starry sheen. Every day one hears of some star or the other backing out of the event.

The first casualty was obviously Salman Khan. The Bachchan bahu is believed to have put her foot down on this one. It was decided to drop Salman to avoid any kind of awkwardness. It seems that Ash's presence has given some of Bollywood's leading ladies a complex as well. Lara Dutta was the first to succumb to this. She felt that with Ash's presence on the show would leave her with hardly anything to do. The next to go was Bipasha Basu. It is believed that the success of Race also had a lot to do with her opting out. With a winner in her hand, Bipasha is believed to have asked the organizers to hike her price, which they refused and she staged a walkout. Apparently, it did not go down too well with the Bong beauty that Ash was being paid a crore for the tour. She demanded the same and the orgainisers refused to oblige. Her boyfriend John Abraham too seems to be out of the tour. Actor Akshay Kumar who was a part of the tour, suddenly discovered that he did not have the dates for it. He later relented and agreed to join the tour at selected cities. But the latest is that he too has opted out. So far, the Bachchans have still managed to retain Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapur and Ritesh Deshmukh. But if the exodus continues, the Bachchans will only be left with themselves.
