Amitabh Bachchan, who is playing a ghost in Bhoothnath, was very reluctant when he saw the sketches made for his role initially. He did not like certain portions of the sketches which were shown to him before finally settling on one.
Director Vivek Sharma gave us the details.
1. "He didn't like the long hair coming down to his forehead which we had earlier planned for him. There were two reasons for it – one that he was shooting for Jhoom Barabar Jhoom with a similar look and the other that he should look not look scary as later in film he teams up with the little kid Banku. So in short he felt the look should be part friendly yet scary."
2. "In this sketch he was quite amazed to see the sitting posture and felt that the hands were too long so he wasn't pleased with that too."
3. "Then there is a mark on his forehead about which Mr. Bachchan was very curious but I explained to him that in the film he meets with an accident so it is needed. Finally he agreed and we retained it."
4. "This is the final sketch with which he was very happy."
