Hey
i was having a panic attack about this film thinking omg what film is sooraj ji making and after vivah it will be a massive let down and doing my research came across this intereview the film actually sounds interesting and still have main thing rajshiri touch to it...i think sooraj ji view of the worlds and relationships soo good it comes across in the interviews anyways before i start off lol let me know your views😳
His lead heroes are the human version of Lord Ram – honest, humble, truthful and extremely kind, while his actresses ought to be Sita – sacrificing, submissive, docile, demure, extremely feminine and above all very Indian! There are directors who want to experiment and break the popular stereotypes their previous films have created and then there is Sooraj Barjatya who has no qualms in proudly sticking to his 'wedding' rather winning formula! In a tete-a-tete with Renuka Vyavahare , he reveals what fascinates Rajshri Productions about this pious bond!
After the success of Vivah, you are coming up with yet another Vivah!
Yes, our next film is called, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi , starring Isha Koppikar and Sonu Sood. Kaushik Ghatak is the director of the film who has directed TV serials like Sanjeevani, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , to name a few. It is about the relationship between an unmarried couple.
Live-in relationship, you mean?
No, Rajshri Productions is not into showing live-in relationships (smiles)! The film is a different take on marriage after Vivah. Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi does not talk about the legality of marriage but the emotional bond that an unmarried couple shares which is no less than a marriage!
Yet another film on marriage and family!
I believe that marriage is the most beautiful emotional bond that you can share with someone. I will continue to make films on weddings and films that showcase our culture and traditional values as no matter how much we are inclined towards aping western culture these days, we still appreciate and respect our own value system. Also I believe every family has a story to tell!
Your films are filled with characters that are 'too good to believe'. You think such Godly people really exist?
I think goodness exists in this world, without which, babies won't be born! That's why I show and promote goodness in my films through my characters. Also this is the kind of people and life that I have seen. I cannot make a Madhur Bhandarkar brand of film as I haven't seen all that!
Weren't you apprehensive about casting Isha Koppikar and Sonu Sood, considering their mediocre track record?
I feel Isha's potential hasn't been tapped in Bollywood as yet. She is looked upon as this 'item girl' but in my film you'll see her as a typical Indian Rajshri heroine. Sonu Sood has done a good job too.
Like Isha, would you give Mallika Sherawat a Rajshri make-over too?
Why not? She is a good actor and that's why she is doing so well. In fact she can be the next Rajshri heroine too.
