Bhansali lashes out against SRK and Saif

Finally, Bhansali speaks out!

Noted film expert, author and NDTV's consulting editor, films, Anupama Chopra interviewed Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Paris. The show, aired over the weekend, featured clips of Bhansali's mega musical Padmavati, being staged in Paris, and was also successful in getting Bhansali to finally react to a lot of things.

Sporting a kurta and a shawl, Bhansali, seemed prepared to face the questions when Chopra asked him about the barbs directed at him in recent times. She was referring to the Filmfare award ceremonies where Saawariya and Bhansali were the objects of ridicule, especially in the hands of star anchors Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan.

"They have no dignity," said Bhansali. "It makes me upset when people (like Shah Rukh) who have worked with me, say and do the things they did. I cannot ever imagine Mr Bachchan or Naseeruddin Shah to do something like this," said Bhansali, adding, "I respect them a lot." The 'mockery' as Bhansali put it, was completely uncalled for. Not stopping at that, Bhansali went on to express his displeasure about the platform that gave them the license to behave in such an unsavoury fashion and the people "who found the whole thing funny and sat through it all, laughing." Such undignified behaviour affects the credibility of the award ceremony as well, he added. "I don't know why they behaved like that," he sighed.

omg he should have listened to thier disclamier too before commenting on them dude he made fun of themsleves too and if saawariya had done well they wouldn't have done it cuz they spoofed only on which majority of people didn't like about the films and made fun of thier friends . have sense of humour.

just by adding in a disclaimer doesn't mean the so called King Khan and his Chamcha Ali Khan have a right to make lame jokes and mock people they have a personal problem with. The so called humor were all below the belt and i couldn't believe so called actors/actresses in the audience found it funny. Its like 99% of people in Indian movie industry don't have any integrity.

SLB i agree with you.. lekin your reaction is not coz you felt it was in bad taste but your reaction came coz you are still hurt for Sawariya loosing the race..

I m a big fan of srk but i dont like him when he mock at others.

SLB is a very sensible and understanding person.He is right in saying that they both have no dignity. 😊

have not watched the award function and after hearing all these and other sources..I am definitely put off from watching Filmfare awards 😕

Well if he didnt make such a crap film, im sure there would not have been a mockery in the first place and besides SRK or Saif repeatedly said that they have no intentions of hurting anyone.

It was all for the fun of it and everyone was laughing.

If he wants to blame SRK and Saif, he should also blame everyone for laughing at the jokes made on him.

I agree with SLB! SRK and Saif weren't funny with their jokes toward Saawariya and SLB

These awards are ridiculous with thier cheap comedy. Comedy doesn't mean commenting others.
