Hey guys as we all know that heros will never be called heros if there is not a villian in the picture!

So let's all gather, remember, and share the great villians of cinema---who may not have gotten their due in Bollywood!!!

My ALL TIME favorite has been Amrish Puri---the only actor, in my opinion, who portrayed the role of an intense villian and a simple and good guy to the T! 👏

He is one Villian that has given many actors the title of a Hero! Without him I believe cinema is empty and powerless! 😳

Please do share your thoughts and your fav. villians! 😊

My first choice would be "Mr. Pran". I think Amrish Puri picked up where he left off. Pranji has also done all kinds of roles: good, bad and ugly and excelled in all of them. I really admire him very much. I still enjoy "Madhumati" as well as I enjoy "Amar Akbar Anthony" or "Bade Dilwala" just to name a couple. The list of Pranji's films is endless.

After him it is Amrish Puri whom I like the most.

Then there is a long list of Villains that I like to mention: Danny, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri(Even though he was not as good as his kid bro Amrish Puri), and how can anyone forget the ultimate villain Gabbar Singh aka Amjed Khan. Kadar Khan was also pretty impressive in some movies.

This is really a good topic... While adding the list of Villian how about Shadshiv Amprapurkar to it -- He still gives me chills every time I think of him as Maha Rani in Sadak. In defin the best performance of his life. 👏 I truly love the work he did in that...

My fav are Pran and Amrish Puri for sure... They left certain impression on the world of Hindi Cinema which only actors were allowed...

Since we giving credit to the Male villian - how about the women. I think this award should go to Lalita Pawar... She was fantastic in her negative shades - naturally she never got killed or imprisoned like her counterparts... As she was always shown as an aunty protecting someone or an interfering mother. Nonetheless she always proved a point. 😊

seems like I was right....Villians who make the actors heros haven't gotten their due or recognition!

thanks to you guys, who have responded...I agree with you that there are soo many good actors, who have enacted the villianous role to the T!

I agree Maha Rani in Sadak was just tooooo scary and wicked!
Also Amrish Puri in Karan Arjun always and still scares me! 😳

He was good as a villain in couple of cinema I have seen but I like Amrish Puri as a character actor more.

If we are talking about villains then Pran is a name which comes to my mind. I think Kashmir Ki Kali is the first feature film I have seen of him as a villain. His Pahadi accent and a beedi between his fingers is still fresh in my mind.

Another villain which creeped me out was Ranjeet. He was the regular village bad guy who scared the village girls.

One guy I absolutely loved as villain was Paresh Rawal. He was very cunning and bad. I was shocked to see him doing a hilarious Hera-Pheri. Now that is versatility.👍🏼

Prem Chopra's laugh and some famous dialogues make him another memorable villain. Some of his quotes like 'Prem naam hai mera..Prem Chopra'.

Not forgetting vamps like Bindu, Aruna Irani, Sasikala and Lalita Pawar. But they mostly were sidelined to do item dances.
