Child artist Aman Siddiqui, who plays Banku in Bhoothnath, shared with us his experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla and balancing studies with shooting.
Banku and Bhoothnath!
"The film revolves around two important characters - Banku (I) and Bhoothnath (Amitji). He plays my grandfather in the film and Juhi aunty is my mom. My character Banku is very naughty but at the same studious. The film is especially made for children and has lots of comedy.
'Amit uncle used to give me chocolates everyday'
"I was not at all nervous working with Amitji as I have already done two ads with him. I still remember on the sets we played lots of cricket and he used to give me chocolates everyday. During breaks he used to share his food with me and even used to ask me about his studies and told me not to ignore it."
Favourite scenes
"Majority of my scenes are with Amitji but my favourite scene is the one at the school park where Bhooth and Banku are talking to each other - the best part of that scene was that I had to behave as if I could only hear Amitji's voice when actually he was standing in front of me. Then there is one more scene with Juhi aunty at our house. She is very naughty so it was fun working with her as well."
'I taught Amitji a dance step'
"There is one song which we shot in Goa where Banku and Bhoothnath are supposed to dance. There was one step which Amitji was finding it very difficult but I taught him and he was very happy to learn it from me."
Studies and Shooting
"They shot according to my convenience. It was done during vacation. I only had to take leave from school for one week when we had to shoot in Goa."
Aman is a third standard student studying at Dalmiya School in Mira Road, Mumbai. The kid will shoot his final promo with Amitabh before his exams starting on April 18.
