Sonam Kapoor turns down offer opposite Hrithik



Mumbai, March 09: It seems that the sultry Sonam Kapoor wants to retain her sweet and simple image. The grapevine has it that she recently spurned an offer by Rakesh Roshan to star opposite Hrithik Roshan as the role was too 'hot' for her.

Her decision came inspite of that fact Rakesh Roshan is a very close friend of her father, Anil Kapoor. Rakesh is said to be quite fond of Sonam and wanted to cast her in his forthcoming project Kites.

Anurag Basu is all set to direct the film which has reportedly very hot scenes between the lead couple. He revealed that, "The girl's role is extremely bold,"

Sonam, excused herself citing that the role requires the girl to get intimate with Hrithik against the scenic background of New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. After Sonam's refusal, Rakesh Roshan finally signed up a Latin actress Barbara Mori as his son's leading lady.

Considering the recent success of Hrithik's film Jodhaa-Akbar, Sonam's decision can only be called immature.

I dont think thats an 'immature' decision..thats actually quite a mature one!..If she does not want to do such intimate/bold scenes, then she shouldn't force herself to do so even if its a film opposite sumone like hrithik!..and the fact that she refused such a role at a time like this is even more praiseworthy! 👏 😳 ...

Well, not everyone likes doing bold roles, many dont feel comfortable while doing them ..and if an actress doesn't want to do such a character, regardless of the actor casted opposite her, then she shouldn't do it! 😊

Its her choice .......I dont think ppl should comment on it....She knows whats best for her !

And yes apparently Kangana Ranuat is also part of the story 😳
