 Team Bollywood beat Team Pune in a football match held in Pune on Tuesday, courtesy Ranbir Kapoor. The contest in question was organised by Salman Khan's brother, Sohail Khan. The proceeds of the match will be forwarded to the welfare of cancer patients.The match was played in Pune under floodlights and attended by a crowd of nearly 10,000 people. Ranbir, who scored four goals, was declared the Man of the Match. Ranbir Kapoor receiving the Man of the Match award from Mr. Patang Rao Kadam Team Bollywood had Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Kunal Khemu and Shabbir Ahluwalia among others. Govinda was also invited. However, he did not play. Maybe that's why they won? An eyewitness reveals, "Chi Chi (as Govinda is fondly called) said that he does not know the game and hence they should excuse him. Team Bollywood was disappointed but they could do little about it." A source close to the Kapoor family says, "We were not surprised when Ranbir called us after the match and broke the news. We were quite sure that he would give Team Pune a tough time. We are glad that even after becoming a star, he has not gotten carried away and forgotten the game." Our source adds, "Ranbir's favourite game is football. He played for Mumbai before he joined Sanjay Leela Bhansali to assist him in Black." While Team Pune scored four goals, Team Bollywood scored seven. |
