Sanju asks Hirani to wait for Munnabhai
Contrary to reports Rajkumar Hirani's Munnabhai 3 is still in the running. Sources close to Sanjay Dutt told us that the actor has spoken to Hirani about the film and has asked the director to wait for him.
"Sanju loves his character of Munnabhai. He was very keen to do the third installment of the film but with his case and impending jail sentencing the director decided to put the film on hold. Now with him being out again and filming again he has met with Raju to tell him to not shelve the project," says a source.
The actor has a lot of pending films that he needs to complete the shooting for and therefore there is a delay in beginning the project.
"The film has only been put on hold right now. But it isn't shelved for good. Sanju told Raju that he doesn't have dates right now and is completely blocked for a year. But after that he is very keen to take the film on the floor. So right now it's only about time," says the source.
But what about Hirani?
"Raju is very keen as well. He has wanted to make Munnabhai 3 for a while. He has done all his research as well but sometimes the timing just isn't right. But he was very happy when Sanju spoke to him about it," the source concludes.
