wow, ppl need to realize everyone has their own taste and opinions.

Ash was ok, same as you would expect in like devdas or any other movie.
Hrithik was hot, not bad acting but his dialect, a bit like trying to bring out the tone of a king. but he was good.
I loved the scene with Ash and Hrithik with the sword fight.

Setting and direction, ok. nice dresses though.

Lagaan was so much better. but jodha akbar was good (like B avg), not bad too watch it home.

oyeeee read before commenting. i havent watched the movie yet. i said it's too long. gowarikar can never edit his movies right. plus, it was one of my friends opinion that i was posting

Oh my god it is so boring movie it looks so fake the fight they are doing its so fake I can not believe that they did this movie all the characters are so bad gosh why so much publicity u can not even understand the wording what they are saying........gosh i hope they won't wins any award. Such a crap movie.

It's great that JA is doing such awesome business because personally I thought it was a marvelous movie, and it has definitely taken Indian Cinema to a higher level.

Don't know about the veracity of the claims- other sources say it has not performed that well.
The issue is here it has none of the usual Bollywood masala ingredients-though I lked that.
I do believe that AG made one crucial mistake - he did not tap the dancing prowess of Hrithik or Ash. I realize its not a masala flick, but I think he could have had Ash do a traditional dance at some point - somewhat like Bansali did for HDDCS.
Irrespective of how it fare at the bo one thing is clear - Hrithik is going to win many accolades for his portrayal of Akbar
