Bipasha Basu shall be pairing with Vivek Oberoi for the Hindi remake of the Tamil super hit Thoondil. Undergoing a lean patch with no top heroine willing to pair opposite him, it has come as a pleasant surprise for Vivek.
Sources revealed, "Vivek and Bipasha have been finalized by K.S. Adhiyaman who had earlier made Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002) with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead with Aishwarya Rai in a special appearance. Adhiyaman had also directed the Tamil original. Thoondil was shot completely in London as the romantic plot revolved around a family settled there and chances are that the remake too could be shot likewise."

"For his on floor films, heroines such as Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra were not showing keenness to act opposite Vivek and were seen excusing themselves out of these projects. Reportedly it was so because these heroines didn't want to get on the wrong side of Salman Khan whose tiff with Vivek now is legendary. Bipasha is John Abraham's girlfriend who too is in Sallu's bad books for over two years now after they had a squabble during the Rockstars tour in the US. Bips is a professional and least perturbed about what Salman might feel about it. This has given Vivek a much needed respite as industrywalas were eager to slot him down from the A list slot," sources add.
Vivek's next release is Mission Istaanbul with newcomer, Shweta Bhardwaj opposite him and the hunt for a heroine to be paired along with him for Ram, Rahim Aur Romeo and another to be directed by Tushar Hiranandani is still on as many top actresses are reportedly rejecting these offers on knowing they shall be paired with Vivek.
