The actress' new hairdo is identical to her favourite style icon, pop singer, Rihanna

If you thought Bipasha Basu was wearing a wig at the MTV Roadies event on Tuesday night, think again. The actress has done it again she has gone and lopped off her tresses on a whim.

Says Bipasha who is shooting for Pankh, "I got my hair styled by Sapna Bhavnani. It took two days to cut my hair - first Sapna had done a blunt bob but it was looking too cute and sweet and didn't have my own style element. So I went and had it styled again."

Like Rihanna

Bipasha says, "I have cut my hair completely this time as a little bug bit me. Though I initially screamed in shock when I first saw the back of my head. I wanted it to be styled like my style icon, pop singer Rihanna. My parents are loving it and my friends are calling me Bobby. People are coming up to me and calling me cute. I could cut it as I had no continuity work to do in any of my films."

Still guessing?

Directors Abbas-Mastan got a shock when they saw Bips with her short cut. Says Bipasha, "My hairdresser, Madhiri, is a magician with hair styles, so when last week Abbas-Mastan had come to meet me on my sets, I had long hair with extensions. They are trying to figure out, now kaun sa baal real hai. I guess now I have the advantage of having both long and short hair."

She has had many hairstyles over the years. Ask her which one is her favourite and she retorts, "The one I have right now, as I live in the present. This one is unique and my favourite."
