This morning Salman Khan's much anticipated wax statue was finally unveiled at London's Madame Tussauds Museum. The media got a first glimpse of the statue at 0830hrs local time London. It was an unusually cold morning in London. So Salman, who had earlier planned to come on a Harley Davidson bike, had to settle for a Limousine.

According to Bobby Khan, franchisee Madame Tussauds India, sister Arpita and producer friend Sajid Nadiadwala accompanied Salman to the venue. Wonder if Katrina decided to step back and let Salman enjoy all the limelight?
Salman sported a long, camel coloured jacket and thanked the museum authorities for this honour. Bobby said that Salman was mighty pleased with the results and the crowds at the venue. Needless to say his fans have been considering it to be one of Tussauds' best ever creations.

The statue was unveiled in the press area, following which it was moved to the Bollywood zone. Khan's wax counterpart wears blue jeans and a fitted, black T-shirt that showcases Sallu's biceps to the max. A studded belt, high boots and his famous bracelet only make the statue even more lifelike.
And now for the big question. Is he standing next to Aishwarya Rai at the museum? Well the answer is NO. Bobby said, "The order is Aishwarya, Amitji, Salman and Shah Rukh". Bobby says he shares a very good rapport with the Bachchans and wouldn't like to encourage unnecessary gossip by doing something like that. He said the speculation in the media was reason enough for them to follow this order. Salman too did not comment anything on the rumour.
After the press conference Salman took time to see some of the other statues, such as those of Brad Pitt and Angelina.
What the organisers have to say
While the launch was not a public event, the statue was open to crowds by 1030hrs local time London. "Fans from all over England are coming to get close to their fav star in wax".
While many had queued up outside to get a glimpse of Salman, the extreme cold and rain proved to be dampener. Considering the large international media presence, Salman, normally a man of few words, made an exception and patiently gave interviews. He will return to India by the evening flight.
And who is next in line? Though Bobby refused to reveal any names, they museum has apparently decided to have one Indian every year – not necessarily from Bollywood. He said most global Indians were on the museums wish list. Bobby also rubbished reports of Aamir Khan denying their offer. "He was never approached," Bobby said.
He continued, "I consider 'S' as my lucky alphabet. So after Salman and SRK, the next one will also be a person whose name begins with S." He also added that he was keen on including an Indian sports star this time. Any guesses?
