| Looking for Love- Karan Johar By Webmaster, 15 January, 2008 | |
Last year we got to see a lot of Karan even though he made no movie, will that continue? Karan laughs, "Apologies for my over-exposure but that comes with my personality. I enjoy being in front of the camera. I am not saying that my presence is warranted or justified wherever I am photographed, but I enjoy it. And as long as it does not come in the way of my work, which is filmmaking, I see no harm in it." Another thing that kept him busy in 2007 was answering potshots taken at him. "I am this politically correct, kind and polite person who has to say the right thing at the right occasion. So, it is nice when someone is taking potshots at you. Then you can give some tongue-in-cheek and irreverent replies. As long as it is not offensive and remains irreverent, I am ok with it. Everyone has an opinion about my movies and I like to give my response to that," he says with a naughty smile. But this year, he is focusing on himself. "I needed this one year to structure my life professionally and that is what will keep me busy," he says. And, he is looking for love too. "Who likes to be lonely? Everyone is seeking some kind of love in his or her lives. We get it in abundance from our family but you also seek that someone special. I don't have someone in my life right now, but I am open to being in a relationship. I am hoping to find love of every nature and every kind." Looking for love, eh? What about Ekta Kapoor? "I adore Ekta and a common friend of ours, Sunita Menon, says that our astro charts are quite similar. With her, I feel I have a Karmic connection in this lifetime. But more than the fact that I adore her, I have great regard and respect for her." |
