Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has shared screen space with Madhuri, says she does not fear competition from her. {Bold parts seem important to me}
Denying any hand in promoting her husband Abhishek Bachchan in getting a role in a Hollywood film, she said, "I am not promoting him anywhere in Hollywood and this is just a rumour. He is a very good actor and is capable of getting roles by himself."
Rai whose Hollywood venture, Last Legions is all set to hit the theatres early next year also denied any plans of moving to Hollywood.
"I am not shifting my base anywhere and am very much in Bollywood. I have done a lot of Tamil movies and am doing a Hollywood movie but that does not mean that I am going anywhere. I am here to stay," said Rai, who made an entry into films in 1997 with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and received critical acclaim for her performance in the Tamil movie Iruvar. The green-eyed beauty is upbeat about her upcoming period film Jodha Akbar but did not comment on her alleged differences with co-actor Hrithik Roshan. "This is one of my dream roles. The story is very interesting since it is about a love story between Akbar and his queen, despite their vast cultural and religious differences. It is a very contemplative plot," she said. Rai said she would like to work with Dixit if the oppurtunity came along. "She (Dixit) is very talented actress and a good dancer. In future, if offer comes and script is good, I would definitely work with her. If you have watched Devdas, then all answers lie in it. We had shared a very good rapport at the time of working in that movie and were very comfortable with each other," she said. The model-turned-actress who was in the capital for the launch of a diamond jewellery brand was also full of praise or hubby Abhishek and her in-laws."Abhishek is the real diamond in my life who is most lovable husband in the world. My Dad (Amitabh) and Mom (Jaya) are the radiance of that diamond from whom I have got immense love and affection," Rai said.
