What makes a power couple? Sizzling good looks, great compatibility, terrific careers or an enviable bank balance? AT zeroes in on couples who rocked 2007...These couples charm their way to our hearts. We don't tire of seeing them beamed to our drawing rooms 24/7, neither do we get bored of the gossip that surrounds them.
The 'It' couples as they are called, are eye candy for a million hearts. As television star Shama Sikander says, "For me, the couple of the year has to be Saif and Kareena . Both of them are absolutely stylish. While Saif looks like a perfect gentleman, Kareena is stunningly beautiful. They compliment each other perfectly."
Actor Smilie Suri says her favourite celebrity couple is Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan. She says, "Although I don't know them on a personal level, I can sense a certain bonding between them. The gossip says that they are very different individuals and yet manage to bring out the best in each other."
Actor Priyanshu Chatterjee votes for Ajay Devgan and Kajol. He believes that they are a source of inspiration. "This is one couple who have made their careers completely independent of each other. Both have attained super stardom in their own right and are known as competent actors. Despite the obvious pressure on them as celebrities, the way they conduct themselves is admirable. I would like to congratulate them when I meet them in person," gushes Priyanshu.
Actor Ayub Khan too zeroes in on Ajay Devgan and Kajol but he's equally enamoured of John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. He says, "It could be said for both of the couples that they are fantastic actors and look fabulous together."
Television actor Amit Varma who has just made his debut on the big screen says that the Ash-Abhi pair simply has to be the 'It' couple of 2007. He says, "I like the fact that they are so much in love with each other. The compatibility that they share shows in their public appearances as well." Television actor Varun Badola on the other hand finds his favourite in television actors Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil. He says, "Apart from the fact that both of them are wonderful people, what makes this couple unique is that they are in harmony with each other. Each to his own, but looks like for now Saif-Kareena and Abhi-Ash rule the chart when it comes to be Bollywood's couple of the year.
