First Lady is a term given to wife of a state's premiere or in this case wife of most renowned actor in Bollywood. So Krishna Raj Kapoor lost that title with demise of Raj Kapoor.

Now the question is who is the biggest star/actor now. As much as we want to negate there is no doubt that SRK is the one who holds that position. Mr.Bachchan too had the position for long and Mrs. Jaya Bachchan was the first lady then but now it is kind of a tug of war.

So I don't think it is wrong to address either Gauri Khan or Jaya Bachchan as First Lady of Bollywood.

I don't think she looks 'nangi' at all....her assets are covered, the photoshoot is not tacky, sleazy or provocative. She's trying to portray a very western image (but the mag is Vogue afterall!) and yes the photo's have had abit of additional help....like they always are.

I think they are only referring to her as the first lady because SRK is called the King by the media, and lets face it she is only on the cover because of SRK!

Exactly and that's why the title is 'First lady of Bollywood'. It indirectly meant SRK has more power😛. Now let us see what the 'other' side comes up with😉

As for the kind of dress Gauri is wearing, I am sure she already got compliments from her husband, relatives, kids, friends, socialites and other people where this kind of attire is not unusual while we here are analyzing about the message she sends through her dresses and lecture about Indian culture😃.

What one wears is her prerogative and it has nothing to do with being a mother or age. Being a mother doesn't mean that one needs to cover-up and rear children at home. Why the double standard when it comes to women? Why just Gauri, most actors wear such dresses to film parties and award functions.

Anyways just like everyone here thinks that they have the right to voice their opinion on Gauri's attire, she too have the right to choose her dress and actually carry it off very well even though everything is airbrushed.😉

i don't think the type of clothes you wear has anything to do with you remembering or forgetting where you come from. she's called the first lady of bollywood but that doesn't mean that she's representing the whole of india....and really, i'm sure the world out there has seen worse than this.
