SRK-Rani-Preity with Yashraj again

After having suffered a string of flops this year, tinsel town's most prestigious production house, Yashraj Films is desperately trying to resurrect itself. Head honchos Aditya and daddy Yash Chopra, who are presently determining their bouquet of films next year, have called for a high-profile meeting with their 'lucky mascots' - Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherji and Preity Zinta.

Shah Rukh is probably the only star who has had the most impressive track record with the banner, starting with Darr. The leading ladies - Rani and Preity - have clearly emerged as the favourites despite their flops. A reliable source from the production house informs, "We are taking extreme measures to ensure one big hit next year. Shah Rukh is our lucky mascot and after Chak De's stupendous performance at the box- office he is definitely the best choice. In fact, SRK, Rani and Preity form the ideal cast."

The agenda is to discuss a few concepts and involve the actors in the ideation process. Aditya has already had a long-drawn discussion with good friend Shah Rukh, and they will finalise the deal in the coming week. If sources are to be believed, Aditya Chopra is keen on taking the baton of direction. From what we hear, he is no mood to experiment with first-time directors and if required he will script and even direct the film, starring SRK. Also, he has delayed his ambitious sequel, Dhoom 3.

Meanwhile, Yash Chopra is mulling over a mature love story, which is rumoured to be a remake of the 1976 hit Kabhi Kabhie. Speculations are rife about Shah Rukh Khan playing Amitabh Bahchchan's part and Saif Ali Khan playing Shashi Kapoor's role in the ambitious remake.

The films releasing next year include Tashan featuring Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Jugal Hansraj's animated film Roadside Romeo, Kunal Kohli's intense love story starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji, and another film with Madhuri Dixit.

When contacted, Monica Bhattacharya, spokesperson for Yashraj Films, however, denied that any such meeting was being planned.

hmm.. i don't want the their pairing.. way too many movies with them. i want new combos..like shiney and rani...neil mukesh and priety.. sonam and srk...ranbir and deepika... kat and srk...one pair i would alwayz want to see again is.. SRK AND KAJOL 😳

I agree. This combo was getting tiring but probably this would be their last film together as I don't see Rani and Preity doing more films in coming years. They are slowly fizzling out. So I don't mind this combo.

BTW they should have tried Ranbir-Sonam-Deepika. Sure shot hit and so much curiosity not to forget the hype and fights😆

^Looking forward to those two. As well, I think Preity/Rani should move on to more mature cinema, and leave debutantes to work with the kind of fun&flirty films the YRF Banner produces.

but i wish they dont work on remake of khabhi khabhi....i hate the origianl one.....that would be a waste of these three talented actors.....
