While shooting for Subhash Ghai's Yuvraj in Austria, Salman Khan was mistaken for Shah Rukh Khan by locals. Salman was not pleased with that but managed to keep his cool.
"We were shooting for Subhash Ghai's Yuvraj in Austria when these instances repeatedly took place," says a unit insider.
"It happened first when we were shooting a scene outdoors and a group of European locals present to watch the shoot, started chanting Shah Rukh…..Shah Rukh…Shah Rukh as soon as Salman came on sets. An amused Salman simply smiled back at them."
"Then again the next day at another place in the same city, Salman faced a similar situation when another set of girls went crazy shouting the King Khan's name as soon as they saw Salman shooting. They were standing at a slightly longer distance and one of the unit members had told them the biggest star of Bollywood is shooting here which they mistook as SRK and started yelling his name instead of Sallu's," the source continues.
"But this time he got more than embarrassed as it happened in front of his entire Yuvraj unit and there was girlfriend Katrina (who stars opposite him in the film) also along with him who poked fun at him in good humour. A grumbling Sallu then decided to concentrate on the shoot. But when he realized they were not stopping chanting the King Khan's name for him, he stood up and going closer to them, parting his jacket said – I am Salman Khan not Shah Rukh Khan. The girls went speechless, to which the Partner star started laughing out loud sportingly. Luckily such an incident never happened again. May be perhaps then, Salman's reaction would have been much different," concludes the source.
A pal of Salman adds, "It wasn't as if he was annoyed or felt jealous about SRK's name being chanted for him instead of his. He reacted to make them differentiate between the two Khans."
The Partner star was voted as the 7th best looking man in the world by People's magazine a decade back. But, it seems the King Khan's rapidly growing magic across the globe is blinding his fans as well.
